Lee's Famous Recipe, 501 E. Broadway, sponsored a Campbellsville Band Day recently.

Owner David Allen Newton donated a portion of the day's sales to the band. In all, Lee's of Campbellsville contributed nearly $2,000.

Band Director Jaime Smith said, "We couldn't be more thankful to David and the people at Lee's Famous Recipe, particularly during a time in which our band program is financially strained."

Lee's has donated thousands of dollars to band programs through the years.

Community Ventures Corp. was honored recently by the U.S. Small Business Administration during its annual SBA Lenders Conference on Nov. 9.

Community Ventures Corp. received the 2007 SBA Micro Lender of the Year Award in Kentucky.

During the fiscal year 2007, which ended in September, Community Ventures Corp. approved 35 micro loans totaling $109,643. Steve Ayers, district director for the Kentucky District Office presented the award to James Coles.

Campbellsville National Bank is now Forcht Bank (pronounced "fork"), a subsidiary of Forcht Bancorp, formerly known as First Corbin Bancorp. The name change reflects combining Campbellsville National Bank with the other nine separate bank charters owned by Forcht Bancorp into one bank operation.

The total assets for Forcht Bancorp, including the recent acquisition of Eagle Fidelity in Grant County, now total more than $1 billion, making it one of the Top 10 bank holding groups based in Kentucky, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
