  • Edward Jones is a 'best place to work'

    The financial services firm Edward Jones recently was named the No. 1 large-sized company on the "Best Places to Work in Kentucky" ranking, according to George Eon and Larry Bowen, financial advisers in Campbellsville.

    The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society of Human Resource Management teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa., to rank the state's best employers. Fifty companies were named Best Places to Work in Kentucky, divided into small/medium- and large-company categories based on the number of people they employee in Kentucky.

  • UPS gives to United Way

    On Friday, April 11, UPS of Campbellsville invited several local charities to its facility for a check presentation. Ann Mattingly from the Taylor County Resource Center, Sue Crabtree from the Campbellsville Resource and Youth Services Center, and Beck Martin from the Galilean Home in Liberty were some who were in attendance. Each year, UPS employees are given the opportunity to donate money to United Way and they are able to designate to the charities of their choice. These were a few that UPS employees donated to.

  • Rodgers honored for 53 years with Farm Bureau Federation

    Clay Rodgers recently began his 53rd consecutive year as a director for the Taylor County Farm Bureau Federation, serving the past 30 years as vice president.

    Rodgers was joined by Jeremy Roy, area program director; Danny Wilkinson, District 7 state director; and Chad Sullivan, current president, when being honored.

    Taylor Regional Hospital hosted a community health fair on Saturday, April 19. There were 400 individuals who attended, with 170 receiving the free blood testing.
