This year’s winner of Forcht Bank’s Ipad drawing, open to any graduating high school senior, is Jaquil Taylor.

Campbellsville Health and Fitness is now offering a free fitness class for children ages 5 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. The class offers youth access to professionally supervised group fitness activities at no cost and helps fight childhood obesity. Campbellsville Health and Fitness is located on 1951 Old Columbia Road, near Cox Interior.

Those wanting a little attitude with their workout and a little dance in their cardio can now look to Xtreme Fitness of Campbellsville. The gym is now offering Zumba, which combines international music with dance.
“That’s exactly what Zumba is all about,” said Tiffany McElroy, a level one instructor. “It’s an exhilarating, effective, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance and fitness party.”

Andrea Yates joined the Central Kentucky News-Journal on May 3 in the circulation sales representative/receptionist position.

Yates was born and raised in Elizabethtown and attended North Hardin High School. She has three sons and a daughter. Yates worked in promotions at Pine Valley Golf and Resort for the past three years. 

Since moving to Campbellsville, she has enjoyed fishing, boating and learning how to find ginseng in the woods.
