  • James "Jimmy" Curry, 76

    James "Jimmy" Curry, 76 of Rineyville, Ky., formally of Green County, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky.

    He was the son of the late Everette and Deli Matney Curry.

    He was married to Mary Curry of Rineyville. She survives.

    Survivors also include two sons, James Edward Curry of Owenton, Ky. and Timothy Wayne Curry of Rineyville; and a daughter, Lorie Curry of Rineyville.

    Funeral was Friday, Dec. 24 at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial was in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

  • June Frances Isaacs Shipp, 72

    June Frances Isaacs Shipp, 72, of LaGrange, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.

    She was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Campbellsville, Ky. She was the daughter of Edith Frances Carroll, who preceded her in death.

    She graduated from Campbellsville High School and later from St. Joseph Infirmary School of Nursing in Lexington, Ky. in 1959, and attended Campbellsville University. She was employed at Rosary Hospital and Taylor County Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

  • Ophilia McDonald, 100

    Ophilia McDonald, 100, of Lucian Sallee Road in Bradfordsville, Ky., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at her home after an illness.

    She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Anna Lee Tungate.

    Survivors include six sons, Vonald McDonald of Louisville, Ky., Buel McDonald of Liberty, Ky., Phillip McDonald of Casey County, Ky., David McDonald of Elk Horn, Ky., and Joseph McDonald and George McDonald of Campbellsville; and a daughter, Burdis Burress of Campbellsville.

  • Edward Coffee Stults, 82

    Edward Coffee Stults, 82, of Wise Road in Campbellsville, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at his home after an illness.

    He was the son of the late Otis and Irah Coffee Stults. He was a retired truck driver.

    He was married to Jewell Stults, who survives.

    Survivors also include his nieces and nephew, Susie Phipps and Douglas Edward Stults of Indiana, Patricia Wolf of Hyden, Ky., and Minnie Stults of New Albany, Ind.

  • B. Jeanne Layer, 69

    B. Jeanne Layer, 69, of Campbellsville died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Campbellsville.

    Daughter of the late John Sadlock and Minnie Gatter Sadlock, she was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 3, 1941.

    She was of the Methodist faith and was a retired bookkeeper.

    She was married to Louie "Joe" Layer on Feb. 1, 1972. He survives.

  • Oden Ray Durham, 72

    Oden Ray Durham, 72, of Campbellsville died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Campbellsville.

    A retired farmer, he was the son of the late Irvin Durham and Thelma Webb Durham. He was born in Taylor County, on Nov. 14, 1938.

    He had professed faith in Christ.

    He was marriage to Mary Lou Cox in 1982. She survives.

    Survivors also include a brother and two sisters, James Durham, Loretta Willis and Mary Frances Blakeman, all of Campbellsville; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

  • Thomas Richard Leathers, 95

    Thomas Richard Leathers, 95, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Campbellsville, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

    He was the son of the late Ray and Otha Blockson Leathers.

    He was married to Pearl Cole Leathers, who proceeded him in death.

    He was an Anderson County native, a graduate of Western High School in Anderson County, and received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from the University of Kentucky in 1949.

  • Cora "Cordy" Delane Grayson, 63

    Cora "Cordy" Delane Grayson, 63, of Marion County, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, in Louisville following an illness.

    She was the daughter of the late George Beckham Noe and Roberta Ellis Gribbins Noe.

    Survivors include a son, Bobby Lee Grayson of Bradfordsville, Ky.; and two daughters, Carol Stayton of Lebanon, Ky. and Charlotte Carter of Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral was Saturday, Dec. 18 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home in Lebanon with burial in the Old Liberty Cemetery.  The Rev. Robert Barr officiated.

  • Earl Thomas Price, 74

    Earl Thomas Price, 74, of Greensburg, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg.

    He was the son of the late Luther and Jane Wright Price.

    Survivors include a brother, Curtis Price of Greensburg.

    Funeral was at Wednesday, Dec. 22 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Judd Cemetery in Green County. Bro. Raymond Clark officiated.

  • Dempsey K. 'Bud' Boston, 73

    Dempsey K. "Bud" Boston, 73, of Bowling Green, Ky. died at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at his home.

    He was the son of the late Ola Boston and Bernice Hood Boston.

    He was married to Linda Boston, who survives.

    Survivors also include two sons, Terry Boston of Bowling Green and Travis Boston of Glasgow; and a daughter, Tonia Gaddis of Campbellsville.

    Funeral was Saturday, Dec. 18 at Hardy & Son Funeral Bowling Green Chapel. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery #1.
