  • Delilah 'Lyla' Hunt Parrott, 85

    Delilah "Lyla" Hunt Parrott, 85, of Mt. Gilboa Road in Finley, Ky., died at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, in Campbellsville.

    Daughter of the late James Thomas Hunt and Ida Ellen Hunt, she was born in Taylor County on Sept. 23, 1922. She was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church since she was 9 years old. She was a former Sunday school teacher and was active in the church. She was a graduate of Campbellsville Junior College and a school teacher, having taught in the Taylor County School System for several years.

  • Scott Neal Lile, 40

    Scott Neal Lile, 40, of Bardstown, Ky., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Son of Avis Glaydale Bishop Lile of Louisville and the late Ward Allen Lile, he was born on Aug. 19, 1967, in Jefferson County, Ky. He had made a profession of faith in Christ.

    He was married to Kim Redemann on Oct. 10, 1992. She survives.

    Survivors include a daughter, Britiny Lile of Bardstown; a son, Wesley Lile of Bardstown; three brothers, Larry Lile of Bardstown and Steve Lile and Joe Lile, both of Louisville; and a sister, Pam Sturgill of Louisville.

    Imogene White, 71, of Campbellsville died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky., after an illness.

    She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Minnie Wise.

    She was married to Dallas Glenn White, who preceded her in death.

  • William Russell Beard, 79

    William Russell Beard, 79, of R. Beard Road in Knifley, Ky., died on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

    He was the son of the late John and Cora Chelf Beard.

    He was married to Bernece Beard, who survives.

  • Mary Josephine 'Nana' VanDoozer, 78

    Mary Josephine "Nana" VanDoozer, 78, of North Central Avenue in Campbellsville, formerly of Helmville, Mont., died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Daughter of the late Charles William and Charlotte Louise Stone, she was born in Santa Monica, Calif., on Dec. 11, 1929.

    She was married to Everett E. Fraedrick Jr., who preceded her in death. She later married Lawrence G. VanDoozer, who also preceded her in death.

  • Mabel Milby Uttenhove, 94

    Mabel Milby Uttenhove, 94, of Summersville, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Golden Living Center-Green Hill Manor.

    Daughter of the late Herman Smith and Rena Carter Smith, she was born on Nov. 8, 1913, in Taylor County. She was a member of Bunker Hill Church of God in Buda, Ill., and was a homemaker.

    She was married to Alva Milby on Oct. 2, 1929. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1967. She married John Uttenhove in August 1971. He also preceded her in death.

  • Brenda Lou Marcum, 62

    Brenda Lou Marcum, 62, of Ravine Way in Campbellsville died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at her home after an illness.

    She was the daughter of the late Harold and Rosie Elmore Milby.

    She was married to Joe Marcum, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2007.

  • Howard T. Shofner, 83

    Howard T. Shofner, 83, of Lebanon Road in Campbellsville died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky., after an illness.

    He was the son of the late Thomas and Bessie Martin Shofner.

    He was married to Cymbeline Shofner, who survives.

    Survivors also include two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Lewis Rainwater and Judy Clarke, all of Campbellsville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minnie Poff of Illinois.

  • Jesse Earl Tungate, 90

    Jesse Earl Tungate, 90, of Campbellsville died at 6:40 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Campbellsville.

    Son of the late Milton Tungate and Elnora Herron Tungate, he was born on Nov. 26, 1917, in Taylor County. He attended Feathersburg Church of God and was a retired farmer.

    He was married to Velma Abell on Jan. 3, 1940. She survives.

  • Mary Kate Moore, 18

    Mary Kate Moore, 18, of Greensburg, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at University Hospital in Louisville, Ky., following an automobile crash.
