    Maxie Coomer, 71, of Edmonton, Ky., formerly of the Morris Chapel Community in Adair County, Ky., died at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Ky.

    Son of the late Jerome and Gladys Munday Coomer of Adair County, he was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church.

    Jessie Harris, 94, of Campbellsville died at 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in Campbellsville.

    Daughter of the late Lewis Whitlock and Mary French Whitlock, she was born on Dec. 27, 1914, in Marion County, Ky. She was a member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church.

    She was married to Orvey Harris on June 4, 1938. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1992.

    Eula Bryant, 70, of Columbia, Ky., died at 1:27 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green after a short illness.

    Daughter of the late Eural and Maggie Parson Sneed of Adair County, Ky., she was a retired machine operator at Osh Kosh in Columbia and attended Columbia Church of God.

    She was married to Russell Bryant, who survives.

  • Verna Frances Noe Scott, 80

    Verna Frances Noe Scott, 80, of Louisville, Ky., died Monday, April 20, 2009, at Meadowview Health and Rehab Facility in Louisville.

    Daughter of the late Charles William Noe and Rosa Blane Goff Noe, she was born on Nov. 24, 1928, in Green County. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, was retired from General Electric and was a member of Eastern Star 245 in Louisville.

    Survivors include a brother, Hubert H. Noe of Florida; and a niece who was also her caretaker, Patsy Kramer of Louisville.

    Randall Lee Wheet, 65, of Greensburg, Ky., died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home.

    Son of the late Luther Wheet and Maude Hale Wheet, he was born on Jan. 29, 1944 in Columbia, Ky. He was a self-employed scrap metal worker.

  • Onie Lee Farmer, 78

    Onie Lee Farmer, 78, of Liberty Road in Campbellsville died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

    He was the son of the late Bery and Bethy Ellen Farmer.

    He was married to Delois Farmer, who preceded him in death in 1984.

    He later married Mary Farmer, who survives.

  • Curtis William Jeffries, 93

    Curtis William Jeffries, 93, of Greensburg, Ky., died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Medco Center of Campbellsville.

    Son of the late George William Jeffries and Tura Catherine Davis Jeffries, he was born on Sept. 29, 1915, in Hart County, Ky.

    He was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church where he was a deacon for 60-plus years and a Sunday school superintendent. He was also a farmer, former school bus driver for Green County School System and also did construction work.

    He was married to Alma Lucinda Bishop on Feb. 14, 1937. She survives.

  • William 'Bill' Kean, 81

    William "Bill" Kean, 81, of Campbellsville, formerly of Jamestown, Ky., died at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Campbellsville.

    Son of the late Edward Kean and Pearl Barnett Kean, he was born on April 2, 1928, in Indianapolis, Ind.

    He was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a retired police officer with the Jamestown Police Department and was a constable for 10 years in Taylor County. He was a member of the Kentucky Constable Association.

  • Ruby Allene Rafferty, 80

    Ruby Allene Rafferty, 80, of Rafferty Road in Campbellsville died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville after an illness.

    Daughter of the late Herbert and Alda Howell, she was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of Pittman Valley Baptist Church.

    She was married to John Rafferty, who preceded her in death.

  • Roman Elmore, 90

    Roman Elmore, 90, of Summersville, Ky., died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Green Hill.

    Son of the late Elliott Elmore and Mary Nisha Marcum Elmore, he was born on Oct. 7, 1918, in Green County, Ky. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer.

    He was married to Susie Rattliff on Nov. 29, 1941. She survives.
