Riley guilty of bank robbery

A Lexington man was convicted Tuesday in connection with a bank robbery that took place in January 2015.
After a trial that lasted less than two days, a jury gave Thomas E. Riley, 52, 25 years in prison. He’ll have to serve at least 85 percent of that time.
Forcht Bank employees cheered when his conviction was announced. The Green River Plaza branch of Forcht Bank was the site of the Jan. 23, 2015 robbery.
“The facts are so clear,” said Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney John Miller in his closing statement.
