  • Educators in Campbellsville and Taylor County will be showcased on Campbellsville University's TV-4 station starting next week, discussing news from each of their schools. The shows are part of Campbellsville University's "Education Today" series in the ongoing Dialogue on Public Issues. The Campbellsville elementary, middle and high school show will be aired Wednesday, July 23 at 1:30 and 7 p.m.

  • The annual Ladies Night Out event sponsored by the Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and the School of Business and Economics at Campbellsville University originally set for Thursday, July 24 has been rescheduled for February.

  • Auditions for Campbellsville University's fall play "43 Plays for 43 Presidents" will be Aug. 25-26 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the University Theater in the Alumni Building.

    Five parts are available for males or females. Those auditioning should come with a monologue prepared.

  • Summersville Fun Days will take place on Saturday, July 19 in Summersville.

    An all-day gospel singing is planned and Tim Farmer, host of Kentucky Afield, will be the grand marshal of the parade.

    The event will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. Food and other activities will be available.

  • The book of Exodus will be discussed at the January Bible Study Preview at Campbellsville University on Thursday, Aug. 7.

    Dr. Dwayne Howell, associate professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Campbellsville University, will be the leader of the study. Howell was recently named Distinguished Professor at Campbellsville University.

    The session, which will be from 1 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., will be at Campbellsville Baptist Church. It is open to everyone - pastors and lay people as well.

  • Vicki Dawn Rayner of Alberton, Prince Edward Island, Canada and Matthew Todd Coomer of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Rayner is the daughter of Wendell and Lisa Rayner of Alberton. Her grandparents are James and Betty Rayner of Alberton and Ron and Lynn Wideman of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Accelerated Christian Education program and is employed as a secretary at Kildaire Bait and Fisheries.

  • Keisha Delle Mosby and Jeremy Brooks Coffey will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 19.

    Mosby is the daughter of Monica Warren of Greensburg and the late Neal Warren. She has a son, Andrew Mosby. Her grandparents are the Rev. Charlie Warren and Linda Hodges, both of Greensburg, and the late Harry Hodges and Dorothy Warren.

    She is a 2000 graduate of Green County High School and a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green Technical College. Mosby is employed at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home as a nurse.

  • Georgia Ann Handley and Luis Enrique Pena will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 19.

    Handley is the daughter of Robert "Jimmie" and Adla Handley of Hodgenville.

    Pena is the son of Maria Miller of Radcliff.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. at Elizabethtown Christian Academy, formerly Severns Valley Baptist Church, located at 140 W. Poplar Street in Elizabethtown.

    A reception will follow.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. Invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.

  • Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency's HOME Program will have a "Within My Reach" workshop at the Campbellsville Housing Authority Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

    The HOME program provides free relationship education to low-income individuals and couples.
