    Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center hosted a spring cookout for residents and their families on Friday, May 10, to kick off this year's National Nursing Home Week.

    The Exie Bluegrass Boys of Greensburg provided entertainment.

    Four couples graduated from prenatal and childbirth classes taught at Taylor Regional Hospital last month.

    Classes are taught on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at TRH's meeting room. This is a five-week series and is free to anyone delivering at TRH.

    Classes are taught by Nicole Collins, RN, CCE.

    The Brothers of Pitman Masonic Lodge No. 124 recently selected Chelsea Pike of Campbellsville to receive a $250 travel scholarship to help with expenses of participating in the 69th Anniversary Commemorations of the D-Day Invasion in Normandy, France, with the Lindsey Wilson College Singers.

    The singers represent LWC as a performing arts ensemble. The mixed choir performs repertoire from all eras, specializing in a cappella anthem literature.

    Natalie Dowling and Blake Arnold of Lexington announce their engagement.

    Dowling is the daughter of Ricky and Valerie Dowling of Campbellsville.

    She is a graduate of Taylor County High School and University of Kentucky. She is employed by the Fayette County school system.

    Arnold is the son of Eddie and Pam Arnold of Grayson.

    He is a graduate of East Carter High School and Kentucky Community & Technical College System. He is a respiratory therapist at University of Kentucky Hospital.

    Stephanie Lorene Wilhoit and Craig Williamson Jr. of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Wilhoit is the daughter of James and Connie Wilhoit of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Odell and Sue Warren of Mt. Sherman, Mary Rose Murphy of Campbellsville, Darrison Bowling of Buffalo and the late Darrell Wilhoit.

    She graduated from Taylor County High School in 2012 and is a homemaker.

    Williamson is the son of George and Marie Prebee of Campbellsville.

    He is employed at Golden Living Center.

    John Raymond and Mary Lee Keltner of Columbia will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

    Norma Dee James and Terry Lee Garmon will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, May 24.

    Merica Durbin of Campbellsville received a nursing academic award from Western Kentucky University's College of Health and Human Services when she was recognized in a ceremony on April 19.

    May 8, 2003

    One of the world's top auctioneers died at his home in Campbellsville on Saturday. Wayne Kessler, 83, of Old Lebanon Road in Campbellsville, died at 4:53 p.m.

    Mylea White celebrated her eighth birthday on April 18 at her home with family and friends.

    Jessica Huber and Nathan Williams were honored with a wedding shower at the home of Frieda Sandidge.

    Brandy Nash and Stephen "Red" Smith of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Nash is the daughter of Jeff and Kay Nash of Campbellsville.

    Her grandparents are Eugene and Peggy Centers and Alma McClain of Magnolia and Gordon Nash of Louisville.

    She is a 2003 graduate of LaRue County High School and received an associate's degree from Spencerian College in 2011. She is employed at Taylor Regional Hospital.

    Jessica Martin and Bobby Noble Jr. of Greensburg announce their engagement.

    Martin is the daughter of Terry and Linda Martin of Greensburg.

    She is a 2009 graduate of Green County High School and is a student at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. She is employed at Modern Care in Campbellsville.

    Noble is the son of Bobby Noble Sr. of Greensburg and Kathy Brewer of Louisville.

    He is also a 2009 graduate of Green County High School and is employed at Altec in Elizabethtown.

  • LaRee and Jansen Shively of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Jayvian Creed Bell Shively, at 8:20 a.m. on April 12 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19.25 inches long.

    Grandparents are Larry and Annette Bell and Jan Shively, all of Campbellsville.

    Great-grandparents are the late Creed and Mrytle Bell, Coy and Estelle Morris and Jimmy and Eula Rae Shively.
