Gabrielle Roberts Sweets and Thomas Sweets of Chattanooga, Tenn. announce the birth of a son, Isaac Wesley Sweets, at 1:22 a.m. on Dec. 12 at Erlanger East Campus in Chattanooga. He weighed 9 pounds, 8 ounces and was 22 inches long.

Grandparents are Dr. Wesley and Sida Roberts of Campbellsville and Thomas P. Sweets of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Great-grandmother is Jewel Faye Roberts of Ocala, Fla.

Jessica Elizabeth Matney Myers and Arthur Warren Holland Jr. of Campbellsville were married Nov. 17 at Greensburg United Methodist Church. Bro. Jim Collision officiated.

Myers is the daughter of Eugene and Shirley Kilby Matney of Campbellsville.

She graduated from Taylor County High School in 1996.

Holland is the son of Arthur Holland Sr. of Campbellsville and the late Rose Rider Holland.

He graduated from Chariho Regional High School in Woodriver Junction, R.I.

Chester "Red" and Laura Lawson celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 11.

Mr. Lawson retired from Taylor County RECC after more than 43 years of service. Mrs. Lawson was a babysitter and homemaker.

The Lawsons have a son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Peggy Lawson of Campbellsville and two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Eugene Gray and Marsha and Billy Estes of Campbellsville. They also have five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.

Good Hope Baptist Church recently honored two couples who reached their 70th wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. James Netherland were married Nov. 14, 1942, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Blevins were married Nov. 17, 1942.

Both couples are members at Good Hope.
