  • TRH names nurse, nurse extender of the year

     

    Taylor Regional Hospital named this year's winners of the Nurse of the Year and Nurse Extender of the Year recently. The recipients are chosen by their peers.

    Nominees for Nurse of the Year were registered nurses LaRee Bell-Shively, Alex Corbin and Brandi Rector. Corbin received the award.

    Corbin has been a team member at TRH since 2005. He and his wife, Faith, have two children, Caleb Seth and Lydia Grace.

  • TRH names spring ambassador

     

    Jimmey Kessler has been named the Taylor Regional Hospital ambassador for spring 2014. Richie Crews, Tina Judd and Christy Rucker were also nominated.

  • Birth Announcements for May 8

    Nickie I. George and Kenny J. Dotson of Columbia announce the birth of a son, Ashton Caleb Dotson, at 10:23 p.m. on April 25 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.

  • Cowherd, Brockman to wed

     

    Jessie Danielle Cowherd and Steven Keith Brockman of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Cowherd is the daughter of David and Sherry Cowherd. She is a 2010 Taylor County High School graduate and is employed at Family and Internal Medicine Association in Lebanon as an assistant lab technician.

    Brockman is a 2009 TCHS graduate and is employed at LB Manufacturing as a forklift operator.

  • Gaskins, Davis to wed

     

    Sarah Abigail Gaskins of Campbellsville and Nathan Andrew Davis of Gamaliel announce their engagement.

    Gaskins is the daughter of Darrell and Penny Gaskins of Campbellsville and the granddaughter of Lowell and Sarah Ruth Graham, Harlin and Carolyn Gaskins and Norma Sue Burton Gaskins, all of Campbellsville.

    Gaskins is a 2010 graduate of Taylor County High School and will graduate from Lindsey Wilson's College of Professional Counseling this month. She is employed at Anderson's Pizzeria in Columbia.

  • Merdith celebrates birthday

     

    Dorothy Glenn Merdith of Indiana celebrated her 95th birthday on April 9 with her sisters, who are all from Campbellsville.

    They include Henrietta Oakes, 85, Laura Lawson, 87, and Edna Kilby, 81.

  • TRH honors new team members

     

    Taylor Regional Hospital recently recognized new team members for their first 90 days of service with a breakfast in their honor.

    Those honored were Amy Boils and Donetta Russell of the TRH Care Center; Miranda Clark, nutritional services; Lottie Curtis, ESD; Suzanne Dant, radiology; Kass Goodwin, ER; Chenoa Ray, transitional care; Kathleen Stapp, ICU; and Fran Stevens, Taylor Rural Health.

  • Cleaning Up

     

    Taylor County Fire & Rescue employees Robby Bryant, Howard Dobson Jr. and others cleaned the county's fire trucks on Friday night in preparation for the annual Campbellsville and Taylor County Fire & Rescue pancake breakfast on Saturday, which more than 1,200 people attended.

  • Boy Scouts earn welding badge

     

    Boy Scouts of America Troop 616, affiliated with Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville, recently participated in a class to help members earn their welding merit badge.

    The class was at Green County Area Technology Center in Greensburg.

    Hendrickson of Lebanon provided funding for supplies and materials needed while Steven Thomas, welding instructor, volunteered his time to teach the class.

  • Haddock celebrates 12th birthday

     

    April Haddock of Campbellsville recently celebrated her 12th birthday at Disney on Ice in Lexington.
