  • Noe-Meister

    Ashley Louise Noe of Campbellsville and John David Meister have announced their engagement.

    Noe is the daughter of Larry and Beverly Noe of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Marsha Howard of Campbellsville and the late Noble Howard and James and Louise Noe.

    She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. Noe also earned her master's degree in business administration from Campbellsville University. She is employed as an administrative assistant for Saver Group Inc. in Campbellsville.

  • Landon Chance DeSpain

    Landon Chance DeSpain, born on Oct. 9, is the son of Brandon and Brandi DeSpain of Glasgow. His grandparents are Tony and Brenda DeSpain of Campbellsville and Kim and Jimmy Keeton of Glasgow. Great-grandparents are Pauline McGinnis of Campbellsville and Margie Cross of Glasgow.

  • Bryant-Boone

    Kenny and Bonnie Childers of Campbellsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Savannah Bryant, to Brandon Boone, son of Nick and Suzanne Boone of Hodgenville.

    Bryant is the granddaughter of Virginia Childers and Ruthann Cowherd, both of Campbellsville, and the late George Cowherd.

    She is a 2003 graduate of Taylor County High School and will graduate in December at Murray State University.

    Boone is the grandson of J.K. and Peggy Edwards of Hodgenville, Adolph Boone of Howardstown and the late Rita Boone.

  • Shelly Peterson honored with baby shower

    Shelly Peterson was recently honored with a baby shower hosted by Angela Cox and Angie Graham. Peterson and her husband, Steven, are expecting a baby girl on Dec. 30.

  • Girl Scouts attend Festival of the Arts

    Taylor County Girl Scout Troop #298 attended the annual "Festival of the Arts" in Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 10. Four members of the troop attended events, which included a visit to the Embroiderers Guild, Hurricane on the Bayou IMAX film and The Spider Speaks. They are, from left, Grace Bertram, Sarah Dickens, Danielle Dickens and Payton Howard.

    Kelsey Lahiff recently celebrated her 11th birthday. She is the daughter of Renee Dobson of Campbellsville and Nick Lahiff of Philadelphia, Pa.     Because of its location in the western Pacific and west of the international dateline, it's the first place on American soil to see the sun rise each morning.

    Jeanette Jones Conner's biography will appear in the 2007-2008 Edition of Marquis' Who's Who in American Education.

    She is a native of Lee County, Va. and graduated from St. Charles High School in Virginia in the top four of her graduating class. After high school, she worked two years in a sewing factory and eight years in Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
