  • Birth Announcements

    Rodney and Kari Jo Booe of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Grayson Carter, at 8:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 1/4 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Grandparents are Pat and Tessie Edelen of Springfield and Richard and Rea Booe of Veedersburg, Ind.

    Great-grandparents are Ralph and Doneta Hoppes and Julian and Dorothy Edelen, all of Springfield, Helen Wilson of Glenwood, Ind., and Lillie Booe of Veedersburg, Ind.

  • Lindsey Cissell takes third at fair pageant

    Lindsey Cissell of Campbellsville was third runner-up at the Kentucky State Fair and Horse Show Pageant. She is the daughter of Tim and Sandra Cissell. Her grandparents are James and Eldora Allen and Ann Cissell and the late Charles Cissell.

  • Texas balloon lands in Campbellsville

    Staff Report

    A balloon set free at an elementary school's balloon launch in Corsicana, Texas was found in Campbellsville recently.

    Campbellsville resident Ed Miladin was mowing his yard on Friday, Oct. 26 when he spotted something. He said he found a broken balloon with a message attached that reads:

    "Attention: Whoever finds this card!

  • Benjamin McMahan celebrates first birthday

    Benjamin McMahan celebrated his first birthday at Phillips Lanes. He is the son of Josh and Stephanie McMahan of Campbellsville. He also has a brother, Thomas McMahan. His grandparents are Dennis and Anita Haulk and Barry and Crystal McMahan, all of Campbellsville, and Sherri and Gerry Huffines of North Carolina. Great-grandparents are Mary and Jerry McMahan of Campbellsville, Roy and Mary Lee Price and Gail Price, both of Lebanon, and Sharlene Deal of Charlestown, Ind.

  • Woman's club hosts annual membership meeting

    Campbellsville Woman's Club hosted its annual dinner and membership meeting on Sept. 24 at First United Methodist Church.

    A large crowd attended, including several from out of town - members of the Columbia Woman's Club, 4th District Governor Carol McLaughlin and her mother, and President Elect Anne Aubrey.

    Taylor County Junior Miss Megan Romines and her mother, Pam Romines, were also guests. Romines played the piano and talked about her role as Junior Miss.

    Also attending were several international students from Campbellsville University.

  • Youngsters appear in country music video

    Siblings Mason Sapp and Daley Sapp along with Christopher Montgomery and Alex Brockman, all of Campbellsville, spent Sept. 25 at Ballance Motox track in Bowling Green.

    The youth were on hand for the video shooting of country artist Bucky Covington's newest release, "It's Good To Be Us."

    Covington was an American Idol finalist.

    The video will feature fast-paced motocross riding. The four had the opportunity to ride their dirt bikes in the video with Covington and his twin brother, Rocky Covington.

    Taping of the track scenes took about four hours.
