  • Rodgers, Alexander to wed

     

    Whitney Paige Rodgers of Russellville, originally from Campbellsville, and Brian William Alexander of Russellville announce their engagement.

    Rodgers is the daughter of Angela Rodgers of Campbellsville and Wade Rodgers of Greensburg. She is the granddaughter of Loretta Sullivan of Campbellsville, Carol and Randy Tucker of Greensburg, Judy Rodgers of Sonora and the late Mac Sullivan and Jimmy Rodgers.

  • Matney, Mitchell to wed

     

    Jessica Brooke Matney and Jermarko James Mitchell of Green County announce their engagment.

    Matney is the daughter of Brady Matney and Nancy Matney.

    Mitchell is the son of Jamie and Sheila Owens.

    The ceremony will be Saturday, Oct. 12, at 5 p.m. at the Green County Cattlemen's Association property in Greensburg.

    A reception will follow. All family and friends are invited to attend.

  • Senator speaks to teachers group

     

    State Sen. Sara Beth Gregory, R-Monticello, was the speaker at the Taylor County Retired Teachers Association meeting on Sept. 17 at Creek Side Restaurant.

    Gregory replaced former Senator David Williams in a special election and then became Taylor County's senator when the Senate boundaries were redrawn.

    State Sen. Jimmy Higdon, R-Lebanon, had previously served as Taylor County's senator.

  • Cash Express honors emergency services personnel

     

    Each year in remembrance of Sept. 11, Cash Express locations in each city present their local emergency services heroes with a cake and thank you card, signed by the community and local businesses.

  • Wise speaks to Rotary club

     

    Max Wise spoke to Campbellsville Rotary Club members on Sept. 17, which was national Constitution Day.

    Wise spoke his FBI background and teaching responsibilities at Campbellsville University.

    Wise is also a candidate for Taylor County's state senate seat.

    Rotary meets each Wednesday at noon at Taylor Regional Hospital.

  • Payton, Spalding to wed

     

    Rachel Payton and Joseph Spalding of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Payton is the daughter of Colletta Grider of Campbellsville and Wallace and Marsha Payton of Liberty.

    She is the granddaughter of Anna Patterson of Liberty and the late Ray Grider and Ray and Nellie Payton.

    She is a Taylor County High School graduate and works at Amazon.com.

    Spalding is the son of Denise and Buddy McDonald of Campbellsville and Buck and Pam Spalding of Lebanon.

  • Burress, Johnson to wed

     

    Jessica Burress and Joseph Johnson of Elk Horn announce their engagement.

    Burress is the daughter of Allen and Kecia Burress of Elk Horn.

    Johnson is the son of Will and Cathy Johnson of Campbellsville.

    The ceremony will be Saturday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. at Feathersburg Church of God.

  • Birth Announcements for September 26

    Melanie Ann Clark and William Stephen Deering II of Lebanon announce the birth of a daughter, Jadah Faye Deering, at 7:31 a.m. on Sept. 5 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches long.

    Grandparents are Timmy and Susie Clark of Campbellsville.

    Great-grandparents are Judy Rogers and J.R. Wiser of Lebanon and Glenda Mattingly and Bert Mattingly of Campbellsville.

  • Squires, Kelsay to wed

     

    Tiffany Squires and Jason Kelsay of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Squires is the daughter of Trena Durham and Mike Squires of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Bonnie Burress, Garnita Squires and James White, all of Campbellsville.

    She is employed at Taylor Regional Hospital.

    Kelsay is the grandson of Danny and Virginia Bottoms of Russell Springs.

    He is employed by Taylor County RECC.

  • Schiesser, Schaeffer to wed

     

    Casey Schiesser and Shawn Schaeffer of Summersville announce their engagement.

    Schiesser is the daughter of Debbie Schiesser of Shelbyville. She is the granddaughter of Barbara and Pete Daugherty of Campbellsville and the late Carl Sandusky, Charlotte Dobbs, Robert Dobbs and George Schiesser.

    Schiesser graduated from Taylor County High School.

    Schaeffer is the son of Tony and Nancy Schaeffer of Conroe, Texas and Mark and Connie Donovan of Spring, Texas.

    He is a Spring High School graduate and is self-employed.
