  • Ford celebrates 99th birthday

    Ruth Gibson Ford celebrated her 99th birthday at Windsor Gardens on Nov. 24 with her two daughters and several of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Guests traveled from North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and Indiana. Five generations of her family were present.

  • Close celebrates first birthday

    Bryten Close celebrated his first birthday on Sept. 22 at his home. His parents are Andy and Brandy Close of Campbellsville. Grandparents are Sandy and Tim Cash and Mike and Marcie Close, all of Campbellsville.

  • Chappell celebrates fifth birthday

    Kyle Chappell celebrated his fifth birthday with family and friends on Nov. 10. He is the son of Kevin and Cindy Chappell.     Erika Nicole Gordon of Campbellsville and Cody Blake Adams of Elk Horn exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Sept. 15 at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

    Todd Davis performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Patty Gordon of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Morris and Avon Cundiff and Barbara Gordon, all of Campbellsville, and the late Kenneth Gordon.

    The groom is the son of Danny and Donna Adams of Elk Horn. His grandparents are Robert and Sally Ridner of Somerset and the late William and Verla Adams.

  • Kearney joins Army

    Jordan D. Kearney has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program.

    The program gives young men and women the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year.

    The enlistment gives the new soldier the option to learn a new skill, travel and become eligible to receive as much as $50,000 toward a college education. After completion of basic military training, soldiers receive advanced individual training in their career job specialty prior to being assigned to their first permanent duty station.

  • Hicks

    Loyde and Deloris Greer Hicks of Carrollton, Ga., formerly of Adair County, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 1.

    The Hickses were married on Dec. 6, 1957, at Roley Christian Church in Columbia. James Prince performed the ceremony.

  • Jude-Gabbert

    Jessica Lynn Jude and David Allen Gabbert, both of Campbellsville, exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Sept. 1 at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

    Andy Hughes performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Calvin and Tammy Jude of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Patrick and Barbara Moore of Campbellsville.

    The groom is the son of Charlene Gabbert of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Orville and Margie Hughes of Campbellsville.

    Beth Jude of Campbellsville served as her sister's maid of honor.

  • Birth Announcements

    Christa Wright and Adam Hicks of Campbellsville announce the birth of a daughter, Lilly Rayne Hicks, at 5:55 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. She weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long.

  • Hudgins competes in Miss Kentucky Teen

    Taylor Hudgins recently competed at the Miss Kentucky Teen Pageant in Louisville. Hudgins represented Metcalfe County after being named Miss Metcalfe County Teen in July. She is the 14-year-old daughter of Tim and Cynthia Hudgins of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Rachel Hovious of Campbellsville and Bernice Hudgins of Greensburg.

  • Noe-Meister

    Ashley Louise Noe of Campbellsville and John David Meister have announced their engagement.

    Noe is the daughter of Larry and Beverly Noe of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Marsha Howard of Campbellsville and the late Noble Howard and James and Louise Noe.

    She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. Noe also earned her master's degree in business administration from Campbellsville University. She is employed as an administrative assistant for Saver Group Inc. in Campbellsville.
