  • Jeffries-Hunt

    Kerry and Lisa Jeffries of Greensburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Amey Michelle Jeffries, to Joey Hunt, the son of Jeannie and Tim Davis and Doug and Roxie Hunt, all of Campbellsville.

    Jeffries is the granddaughter of Sonya Jeffries and the late William "Billy" Jeffries and William and Lucille Ervin.

    She is a 1997 graduate of Green County High School, a 2000 graduate of Western Kentucky University and a 2007 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College. Jeffries is employed at Amazon.com.

  • Knights, OLPH make donation to pregnancy center

  • Coomer completes infantry training

    Army Pvt. Steven S. Coomer has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

    The training consists of basic infantry training and advanced individual training.

    During the nine weeks of basic combat training, Coomer received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons employment, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid skills, and Army history, core values and traditions.

  • Woman's club speakers discuss retirement and healthy aging

    Campbellsville Woman's Club met Feb. 25 at the home of Frances Johnson on Lebanon Avenue.

    Becky Nash, Taylor County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, presented a program on home life and retirement planning.

    Carol Kirtley also spoke on self-awareness and healthy aging.

    The two speakers encouraged club members to be involved in their retirement planning and take better care of their health. They also cautioned them to be aware of identity theft.

  • Hays-Pickett

    Sarah Hays and Nicholas Pickett, both of Lawrenceburg, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, March 15.

    Hays is the daughter of Larry and Jennifer Hays of Lawrenceburg. Her grandparents are Joyce and Richard Case, Davis Hays and Shirley Mullikin, all of Lawrenceburg.

    She is a 2002 graduate of Anderson County High School and a 2007 graduate of Campbellsville University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Hays is employed as a revenue program officer for the Kentucky Department of Revenue.

  • Scott-Sharpe

    Jessica Scott and Tyler Sharpe will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, March 8 at Fry Baptist Church.

    Scott is the daughter of Caroline Scott and the late Johnny Holly.

    She is a 2005 graduate of Taylor County High School and is currently attending Campbellsville University. Scott is employed at Green Hill Manor.

    Sharpe is the son of James and Peggy Sharpe.

    He is a 2002 graduate of Green County High School and a 2006 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College. Sharpe is employed at James Sharpe and Son Cedar Mill.

    The couple is building their home in Greensburg.

  • Cox celebrates birthday

    Benjamin Shaw Cox, son of Benji and Kara Cox of Newnan, Ga., was 1 year old on Dec. 29. He had a celebration with friends and family. He is the grandson of Mike and Peggy Ware and Barry and Lucy Cox, all of Campbellsville, and Doug and Jamie Withers of Bonita Springs, Fla. He also has a big brother, Peyton Back.

  • Birth Announcements

    Casey and Jobey Lynn Baker of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, William Wesley, at 5:09 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

    Grandparents are Steve and Sherri Williams, John and Missy McKinley and Mike and Linda Baker.

    Great-grandparents are Amel and Carolyn Baker, Betty Bennett, and Mildred and Jesse Manasco.

  • Tucker-Green

    Ashley Brooke Tucker and David Matthew Green, both of Brentwood, Tenn., exchanged wedding vows on Sunday, Sept. 16 at Daufuskie Island Resort in South Carolina.

    Dr. Clarence Edmondson performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Miller and Ivan and Carol Tucker, all of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Lucy Tucker of Campbellsville and the late Ivan Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Furkin.
