  • Haddox-Coyle

    Douglas and Debbie Haddox of Ruston, La. announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Lynn Haddox, to Chase Weston Coyle of Louisville, Ky.

    Haddox is the granddaughter of Carroll Jones and Grace Haddox, both of Ruston, and the late Dorothy Jones and Albert Byron Haddox.

    She is a 1999 graduate of Cedar Creek High School and a 2003 graduate of Louisiana Tech University. She earned her master's in business administration in 2004. Haddox is employed by Astellas Pharma, U.S.

  • Arnold anniversary

    Edwin "Ebb" and Geraldine Arnold of Casey Creek will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

    The Arnolds were married on April 5, 1958, in LaFayette, Ga.

    A reception, hosted by their children and grandchildren, will be given in their honor from 3 to 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 6 at Plum Point Baptist Church, located on KY 551 (Knifley Road) in Columbia.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. They request no gifts. However, cards are welcome.

  • Walker-Vernon

    Jamie Glenn Walker and Brent Michael Vernon, both of Williamsburg, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, April 12.

    Walker is the daughter of Roy and Nancy Walker of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Mildred Walker of Campbellsville and the late Glen "Brother" Walker, Ruth Walker and Russell and Eva Haydon.

    Ashley Lauren Gamm of Owenton and Samuel Ryan Newcomb of Frankfort exchanged wedding vows Sept. 2 at Florence Nature Park in Florence, Ky.

    Daven Watkins performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Paul and Lee Ann Gamm of Owenton.

    The groom is the son of Sam and Shiela Newcomb of Campbellsville. His grandmother is Opal Wood of Campbellsville.

    Alecia Hubbard of Owenton served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Lyndsay Von Bokern of Palm Beach, Fla. Meg Gamm of Owenton served as the flower girl.

  • Patterson celebrates fourth birthday

    Nathan Travis Patterson celebrated his fourth birthday recently with family and friends. He is the son of Brent and Chanci Patterson. Grandparents are Ronald and Julia Knifley and Connie Patterson. Great-grandparents are Annie Dicken, Justine Knifley and Kathleen Patterson.   • Pyles celebrates seventh birthday

    Molly Pyles celebrated her seventh birthday on Saturday, March 22 with a party at Sport Spot. Pictured are, from left, Gabby Tucker, Molly, Abby Smoot, Sami Mackie and Gabrielle Pyles. Molly is the daughter of Kim Pyles and Dean Pyles, both of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Preston and Betty Pyles of Campbellsville, Norma and Steve Ennis of Greensburg and the late Paul Blevins.

  • Cundiff donates to Locks of Love

    Heather Cundiff of Campbellsville donated 14 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, an organization that provides hair to children with illness-related hair loss. She is the daughter of Mark and Melony Cundiff.

  • Warren-Posey

    Leona Warren and Alan Posey will exchange wedding vows on Friday, April 11.

    Warren is the daughter of Mary Warren and the late Roy Warren.

    Posey is the son of Nelson and Judy Posey.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Elk Horn Baptist Church.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. No formal invitations will be sent.

  • Thomas-Smith

    Ashley Rae Thomas and Zachary Smith, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Friday, April 4.

    Thomas is the daughter of Bobby and Pam Thomas of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2007 graduate of Taylor County High School.

    Smith is the son of Fred and Diane Smith of Campbellsville.

    He is a 2007 graduate of Taylor County High School and is currently attending ITT Technical Institute. Smith is employed at UPS Worldport in Louisville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. at New Life Church in Campbellsville. A reception will follow.

  • Seaborne graduates from U.S. Army Infantry School

    Army Pvt. Phillip A. Seaborne has graduated from One Station Unit Training at the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

    The training consisted of basic military training and advanced individual training.

    During basic training, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremonies, military customs and courtesies, map reading, tactics, basic rifle marksmanship, physical fitness, field training and first aid skills. The recruit developed combat skills and handled various weapons available to the infantry soldier.
