  • Rakes honored with bridal shower

    Kelli Rakes was honored with a bridal shower on Sunday, May 4 at Green River Memorial Baptist Church.   • Ford celebrates eighth birthday

  • Pickett Kids Corner

    Lilly Kathryn Pickett, born March 15, is the daughter of Chris and Anna Pickett of Bardstown. Her grandparents are Nelson and Nancy Pickett of Greensburg, Sam and Anita Clements of Springfield and the late Donna Clements. Great-grandparents are Sue Clements and Murray and Ann Smith, all of Springfield, and Stanford and Elnora Pickett of Greensburg.

  • Smith named Support Person of the Year

    Campbellsville native Theresa Haskins Smith has been selected as the 2008 Support Person of the Year by the Louisville Education and Employment Partnership.

    A 1972 graduate of Campbellsville High School, Smith is a home school coordinator for Fairdale High School MCA in Louisville. She also oversees the Title V program.

  • Rogers-Daniels

    Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gupton and Mr. Joe Rogers, all of Greensburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Williams Rogers, to Michael Patrick Daniels, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Daniels of Campbellsville.

    Rogers is the granddaughter of Margaret Dean Williams of Summersville and the late Elmore Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Joe G. Rogers.

    Daniels is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Danvil Lockard and Mr. and Mrs. George Daniels.

  • Scott-Sharpe

    Jessica Ellen Scott and James Tyler Sharpe exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, March 8 at the Green County Country Club.

    Bro. Larry Wisdom performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Caroline Scott of Greensburg and the late Randall Johnny Holly. Her grandparents are the late Troy and Myrtie Scott.

    The groom is the son of James and Peggy Sharpe of Greensburg. He is the grandson of L.C. and Elizabeth Estes of Greensburg and the late Edward and Mary Sharpe.

    The couple's 3 1/2-year-old son, James Briley Sharpe, escorted his mother down the aisle.

  • Quilligan-Angel

    Carolyn Greer Quilligan of Danville and James Benjamin Angel of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 7.

    Angel is the son of Dr. James and Sherri Angel of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Jane Angel of Bradfordsville and the late John Angel, Thomas Sapp and Edith Sapp.

    He is a second-year student at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

    Quilligan is the daughter of Thomas and Lois Quilligan of Danville. Her grandparents are Doris Quilligan of Cincinnati, Ohio and the late William Quilligan, John Winget and Carolyn Winget.

  • Gordon-Tedder

    Tiffany Gordon and Austin Tedder, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 7.

    Gordon is the daughter of Brad Gordon of Lebanon and Melissa Gordon of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Bobby and Peggy Chewning and David and Glenda Gupton, all of Campbellsville.

    She is a December 2007 graduate of Western Kentucky University and is employed at Taylor Regional Hospital.

  • Sexton-Nash

    Julie Renee Sexton and Joseph Elliott Nash will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 14.

    Sexton is the 21-year-old daughter of Bill and Tammy Sexton of Columbia.

    Nash is the 25-year-old son of Larry and Becky Nash of Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. ET at Columbia Christian Church. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship activity center.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. Invitations will only be sent to guests outside of Taylor, Green and Adair counties.
