  • Simpson-Seibech

    Ashley Brooke Simpson and Steven Michael Seibech, both of Campbellsville, exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, June 21 at South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

    R.B. Mays performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of L.C. and Patricia Simpson of Campbellsville.

    The groom is the son of Deneisa and Jimmy Beckley of Campbellsville.

    Music for the ceremony included Keith Urban's "I Wanna Be Your Everything" played during the lighting of the unity candle.

  • Edwards-O'Banion Post elects officers

    Billy Floyd of Edwards-O'Banion Post 82 was elected to the post of Commander of the 4th District.

    His job will be to travel throughout the district (19 legion posts) attending meetings and events, serve as liaison with state officials and preside over district meetings for the next four years.

    Joining Floyd for the next year are Post 82 Commander Robert Bryant as sergeant of arms and Sylvia Young as district chaplain.

  • Williams celebrates first birthday

    Madison Aleah Williams will be 1 year old on Friday, July 18. She is the daughter of Lindsey Williams of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Mike and Cindy Williams of Elk Horn. Great-grandparents are John and Carol Silver of Campbellsville, Corrine Williams of Elk Horn and the late Pete Williams.

  • Kessler, Cochran duo winners in Open Talent

    Samuel Kessler, 8, and Tori Cochran, 11, recently competed against 13 other acts in the Q-104 Open Talent Contest as part of the Taylor County Fair. They were the winners in the age 11 to 15 category. They sang a duet comprised of English and Italian titled, "The Prayer," which was recorded by Celine Dion and Josh Groban. They received a cash award and a medal. Kessler is the son of Richie and Sonya Kessler of Campbellsville. Cochran is the daughter of Scot and Beth Cochran of Campbellsville.

  • Rayner-Coomer

    Vicki Dawn Rayner of Alberton, Prince Edward Island, Canada and Matthew Todd Coomer of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Rayner is the daughter of Wendell and Lisa Rayner of Alberton. Her grandparents are James and Betty Rayner of Alberton and Ron and Lynn Wideman of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Accelerated Christian Education program and is employed as a secretary at Kildaire Bait and Fisheries.

  • Mosby-Coffey

    Keisha Delle Mosby and Jeremy Brooks Coffey will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 19.

    Mosby is the daughter of Monica Warren of Greensburg and the late Neal Warren. She has a son, Andrew Mosby. Her grandparents are the Rev. Charlie Warren and Linda Hodges, both of Greensburg, and the late Harry Hodges and Dorothy Warren.

    She is a 2000 graduate of Green County High School and a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green Technical College. Mosby is employed at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home as a nurse.

  • Handley-Pena

    Georgia Ann Handley and Luis Enrique Pena will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 19.

    Handley is the daughter of Robert "Jimmie" and Adla Handley of Hodgenville.

    Pena is the son of Maria Miller of Radcliff.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. at Elizabethtown Christian Academy, formerly Severns Valley Baptist Church, located at 140 W. Poplar Street in Elizabethtown.

    A reception will follow.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. Invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.

  • Lobb-Wilhoit

    Kelly Jo Lobb and Jeremy Douglas Wilhoit, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 12.

    Lobb is the daughter of Mike Lobb of Summersville and Debbie Skaggs of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Dennis Lobb of Summersville, Martha Boggs of Jackson, Ky., and Otha and Rosa Skaggs of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2005 graduate of Green County High School.

    Wilhoit is the son of Doug and Connie Wilhoit of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Mary Murphy of Campbellsville and Odell and Sue Warren of Mt. Sherman.

  • Birth Announcements

    Robert Corey and Miranda Zottman of Lebanon announce the birth of a son, John Davidson Zottman, at 3:22 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

    Grandparents are Larry and Debbie Gilpin of Campbellsville and Thomas and Bobbie Zottman of Lebanon.

    Great-grandparents are Lewis "Sie" and Jenetta Parrish and Bobby and Peggy Gilpin, all of Campbellsville.

  • Local man part of effort to support flood relief

    Co-captains Justin Robinette of Taylor County and Stephen Corbin of Adair County are the area contact persons for "Operation Blessing Indiana Flood Relief."

    Operation Blessing relief crews have been chosen to coordinate and manage all flood relief and recovery volunteers for Terre Haute, Ind.

    Corbin and Robinette are accepting monetary donations to send to flood victims in Terre Haute. The community is in need of money to buy storage pods to store personal belongings and to buy supplies to rebuild their homes.
