  • Williams-Harris

    Deandra Jyll Williams and Matthew Lacy Walton Harris will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Williams is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Williams of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Corrine Williams of Elk Horn and John and Carol Silver of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Taylor County High School and is employed at Amazon.com in Campbellsville.

    Harris is the son of Clayton and Wallean Harris of Dunnville. His grandmother is Loretta Moore of Murphy, N.C.

  • Richerson earns private pilot certificate

    Malcolm Richerson obtained a private pilot certificate from the Federal Aviation Association on May 24.

    To obtain a private pilot certificate, one must pass the required aeronautical knowledge test, log at least 90 hours of flight time and pass a flight proficiency or practical test with an FAA certified examiner.

    Richerson received his instruction from Ben Overgaauw and Bill Troutwine.

    He is the son of David and Teresa Richerson of Campbellsville.

  • Bottoms-Hagan

    Scott and Linda Gaye Bottoms of Campbellsville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Laketa Cherise Bottoms, to Micheal Allen Hagan, son of Jesse and Carol Hagan of Columbia.

    Bottoms is the granddaughter of Rubel and Zelma Sallee of Mannsville, Joyce Bottoms of Scottsville and the late Rev. Robert Bottoms.

    She is a 2004 graduate of Taylor County High School.

    Hagan is the grandson of Joyce Barnes of Columbia and the late Clyde and Erie Hagan.

    Haley Wright celebrated her 11th birthday on June 13. Those attending were Brianna Armor, Gabby Pyles, Savannah DeLaGarza, Lydia Cave, Bradyn Wright, Morgan Bryant, Brittany Speer, Nikki Wright, Sabrina Wright, Trent Jones, Matthew Speer, Mason Wright, Ty Jones, Courtney Wright, Hayley Moss, Jordyn Southern, Kensi Moore, Shelby Carney, Cheyenne Moran, Olivia Burton, Megan Hedgespeth, Hannah Feather, MaKayla Sabo, Mary Jo Edrington, Kelsey Lahiff and Taylor Smoot.

  • Wright-Wooldridge

    Misty Dawn Wright and Richard Allen Wooldridge Jr., both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Wright is the daughter of Matt and Tammy Wright of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Tony and Mary Stubbs of Campbellsville and the late Buck Wright and Bobbie Wright.

    She is a nursing student at Western Kentucky University.

    Wooldridge is the son of Richard and Carolyn Wooldridge of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Charles and Nancy Moore of Lebanon and the late Jim and Joyce Wooldridge.

  • Simpson-Seibech

    Ashley Brooke Simpson and Steven Michael Seibech, both of Campbellsville, exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, June 21 at South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

    R.B. Mays performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of L.C. and Patricia Simpson of Campbellsville.

    The groom is the son of Deneisa and Jimmy Beckley of Campbellsville.

    Music for the ceremony included Keith Urban's "I Wanna Be Your Everything" played during the lighting of the unity candle.

  • Edwards-O'Banion Post elects officers

    Billy Floyd of Edwards-O'Banion Post 82 was elected to the post of Commander of the 4th District.

    His job will be to travel throughout the district (19 legion posts) attending meetings and events, serve as liaison with state officials and preside over district meetings for the next four years.

    Joining Floyd for the next year are Post 82 Commander Robert Bryant as sergeant of arms and Sylvia Young as district chaplain.

  • Williams celebrates first birthday

    Madison Aleah Williams will be 1 year old on Friday, July 18. She is the daughter of Lindsey Williams of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Mike and Cindy Williams of Elk Horn. Great-grandparents are John and Carol Silver of Campbellsville, Corrine Williams of Elk Horn and the late Pete Williams.

  • Kessler, Cochran duo winners in Open Talent

    Samuel Kessler, 8, and Tori Cochran, 11, recently competed against 13 other acts in the Q-104 Open Talent Contest as part of the Taylor County Fair. They were the winners in the age 11 to 15 category. They sang a duet comprised of English and Italian titled, "The Prayer," which was recorded by Celine Dion and Josh Groban. They received a cash award and a medal. Kessler is the son of Richie and Sonya Kessler of Campbellsville. Cochran is the daughter of Scot and Beth Cochran of Campbellsville.

  • Rayner-Coomer

    Vicki Dawn Rayner of Alberton, Prince Edward Island, Canada and Matthew Todd Coomer of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Rayner is the daughter of Wendell and Lisa Rayner of Alberton. Her grandparents are James and Betty Rayner of Alberton and Ron and Lynn Wideman of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Accelerated Christian Education program and is employed as a secretary at Kildaire Bait and Fisheries.
