  • Wise Anniversary

    Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. "Bob" and Nell Wise will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 12.

    They were married in 1948 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

    A reception will begin at 2 p.m. at the "All Occasions" building in Spurlington hosted by their three children, Ron Wise of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Brian T. Wise and Roberta Wise Cox, both of Campbellsville.

    They also have 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Other relatives are Ed and Wilma McGuire of Campbellsville.

  • Fawcett-Landis

    Lynde Fawcett and Josh Landis, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Oct. 11.

    Fawcett is the daughter of Bill and Karen Fawcett of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Margaret Sapp and Hazel Fawcett, both of Campbellsville, and the late Sam Sapp and Earl Fawcett.

    She is a 2007 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Fawcett is a labor and delivery nurse at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

  • Craig is guest speaker at BPW Club meeting

    Rhonda Craig was the guest speaker for the Campbellsville Business & Professional Women's Club monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 11 at Creek Side Restaurant.

    Craig is owner of the Tulip Tree on Main Street in downtown Campbellsville. When asked what made her decide to go into business for herself, Craig quickly replies, "God made me do it."

    She said that many prayers were prayed before she was led to open her business. She brought samples of some of the gifts she has available. Long before opening her business, Craig was an independent candle distributor.

  • Washburn-Clark

    Bo and Debbie Washburn of Lebanon announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Washburn, to Jason Clark, son of Daniel and Charlotte Clark of Campbellsville.

    Washburn is a 1999 graduate of Marion County High School.

    Clark is a 1994 graduate of Taylor County High School and is employed at Clarcor in Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Fairview Baptist Church in Mannsville. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall

    All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

  • Swierczek Kids Corner

    Samuel Hayden, 2, holds his new baby sister, Juleighana Alysse, who was born on Aug. 14. They are the children of Gregory E. and Samantha Ewing Swierczek of Vincennes, Ind. Grandparents are Susan Marie Ewing and Colleen Miles, both of Campbellsville, Sam Ewing of Lebanon and Don Swierczek of Wheatland, Ind. Great-grandparents are Alberta Ewing of Lebanon and Patricia Madson and Leslie Madson, both of Campbellsville.

  • Caulk-Graves

    Casey Douglas Caulk and David Rhode Graves were married on Saturday, June 21 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lexington.

    Father Richard Warner of Notre Dame and Father Norman Fischer officiated.

    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Douglas Caulk of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Gladys Lorene Caulk of Campbellsville, Clare Ann Droba of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and the late Robert Lee Caulk and Joseph Stanley Droba.

  • Make Today County hosts annual picnic

    The annual Make Today Count picnic was Aug. 14 at the Green River State Park pavilion. The 31 attendees celebrated the number of years since cancer survivors were diagnosed. The meal was sponsored by Mellinium and the group was treated to Heavenly Ham. Bingo prizes were awarded.

  • Tedder family gathers for reunion

    The Tedder family met for its 50th annual reunion on Sunday, Aug. 31 at the Elk Pit Masonic Lodge with about 70 in attendance.

    Attending were Dorothy and Herman Seaborne, Janet and Jesse Tedder and Troy and Beverly Tedder, all of Columbus, Ind.; Mary Ann Talbot of Madison, Ind.; Kathy, Elizabeth and Tate Tedder of Jeffersonville, Ind.; Christy Sapp of Edgewood, Ky.; Evan and Libby Tedder, Robert, Holly, Shawn, Wyatt, Lilly and Layla Tedder, Steven, Nicole, Zach and Halle Tedder, Lori Tedder and Travis Humbert, all of Bowling Green.

  • Pyles Anniversary

    Preston Delmore and Betty Susan Williams Pyles celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Sept 7.

    They were married on Sept. 7, 1963, at Saloma Baptist Church in Campbellsville by the Rev. Earl Pike. Their attendants were Freda and Allen "Strut" Noe.

    They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Pyles of Mt. Washington and Dean Pyles of Campbellsville. They also have five grandchildren, Grant Pyles, Lacee Pyles, Gabby Pyles and Molly Pyles, all of Campbellsville, and Eli Pyles of Elizabethtown.

  • Webster-Portter

    Angela Lane Webster and Brandon Thomas Porter, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Sept. 27.

    Webster is the daughter of Ila Webster of Campbellsville and Bobby and Anita Webster of Columbia. Her grandparents are L. Dennis Beams and Cynthia Webster, both of Campbellsville, and the late Rebecca Beams and Lawrence Webster.

    She is a graduate of Taylor County High School and attends Elizabethtown Community College, where she is pursuing a dental hygiene degree.
