    Lylah Paige Curry, born May 9, is the daughter of Timmy and Patty Curry of Campbellsville. She also has a big sister, Kaitlyn. Her grandparents are Gary and Diane Rose of Columbia and Boyd and Jackie Curry of Greensburg.

  • Shoemaker crowned Miss Teen Hart County

    Hannah Shoemaker of Campbellsville was crowned Miss Teen Hart County on July 1. She will compete at the state level in Louisville in October.

  • Birth Announcements

    Reggie and Sarah Roy of Russell Springs announce the birth of a daughter, Madelyn Kathryn, at 9:17 p.m. on Monday, April 28 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. She weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long.

    Grandparents are Nelson and Nancy Pickett of Greensburg and Osburn and Loureda Roy of Russell Springs.

    Great-grandparents are Stanford and Elnora Pickett of Greensburg.

  • Webb Anniversary

    Timmy Wayne and Linda Marie Webb of Elk Horn are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.

    They were married at Yuma Baptist Church by Bro. Carlton Winters. Their attendants were Helen Janes and Kenny Webb.

    The Webbs have one son, two daughters and their spouses, Andrea and David Williams of Jamestown, Timmy Jr. and DeAnna Webb of Campbellsville and Tabatha and Tyress Trigg of Bardstown.

  • Spurling Anniversary

    Edwin Lee and Bernice Spurling of Campbellsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, July 22.

    They have three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon Spurling and Sandra and Mark Morris, all of Campbellsville, and Sabrina and Tracy Young of Hendersonville, Tenn.

    They also have three grandchildren, Tyler Young, Suzanne Morris and Sara Morris.

    The couple celebrated with family.

  • Travelers take a trip out west

    On Monday, June 30, a group of 42 travelers from the local area as well as surrounding counties and states left Columbia for a trip west.

    The group traveled through 11 states including Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, California and Nevada.

    The first day, the travelers stopped in Little Rock, Ark. and spent the night just blocks from the Bill Clinton Presidential Library, a structure of steel and glass.

  • Beams family gathers for reunion

    The annual Beams family reunion took place on Sunday, June 22 at the Elk-Pit Masonic Lodge.

    Trenton and Kim Beams and their 4-month-old baby Logan from Brooksville, Fla. traveled the longest distance to attend.

    Attending from Cookville, Tenn. were Tammy Spencer and her sons Taylor, Clay and Dalin; from Hendersonville, Tenn. were Charles and Velda Beams; and Ronnie and Carolyn Beams came from Floyds Knob, Ind.

  • Williams-Harris

    Deandra Jyll Williams and Matthew Lacy Walton Harris will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, July 26.

    Williams is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Williams of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Corrine Williams of Elk Horn and John and Carol Silver of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Taylor County High School and is employed at Amazon.com in Campbellsville.

    Harris is the son of Clayton and Wallean Harris of Dunnville. His grandmother is Loretta Moore of Murphy, N.C.
