  • GOP women donate to food pantry

  • Sears named Legionnaire

    William "Billy" Sears Jr. was named Legionnaire of Year 2009 during Edwards-O'Banion Post 82's Christmas party on Dec. 11.

  • Agent-Burress

    Sharon Agent and Johnny Burress will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 20.

    Agent is the daughter of Steve Agent of Knifley and Rhonda McElroy of Roselawn, Ind.

    Burress is the son of Harold and Edna Burress of Speck Ridge.

    They also have four children, Brittany Geren, Kyah Geren, Leslie Geren and Johnny Lynn Burress Jr.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. ET at Mt. Carmel Church at Holmes Bend.

    All family and friends are invited to attend.

  • Vaughn celebrates third birthday

    Taylor Alexis Vaughn celebrated her third birthday on Saturday, Nov. 22 at her home with a SpongeBob SquarePants party with family and friends. She is the daughter of Cameron and Erin Vaughn of Lebanon. Her grandparents are Doug and Fran Vaughn of Campbellsville and Joe and Sandy Drye of Lebanon. Great-grandparents are Frances Murrah and Nell Vaughn, both of Campbellsville, and Cecilia Thomas of Lebanon.

  • Pierce celebrates fourth birthday

    Shelbie Pierce celebrated her fourth birthday on Nov. 22 at Sport Spot. She is the daughter of Allen and Angie Pierce of Campbellsville.   • Byrd-Hughes

    Bethany Lauren Byrd of Rockwall, Texas and Dustin Wayne Hughes of Frankfort, Ky., will exchange wedding vows on Jan. 24.

    Byrd is the daughter of Ron and Amy Byrd of Rockwall. Her grandparents are Ginnie Hall of Danville and the late Bill Hall.

    She will graduate in December from Georgetown College and will be attending medical school.

    Hughes is the son of Danny and Rhonda Hughes of Frankfort. His grandparents are Wendell and Verla Hughes and Amy Harrison, all of Campbellsville, and the late Johnny Harrison.

  • Birth Announcements

    Christina Sanders of Lebanon and Joshua Taylor of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Cashus Jayevon Taylor, at 12:07 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 1/2 ounces and was 22 inches long.

    Grandparents are Peggy Ingram and Chick Taylor, both of Campbellsville, Diana Sanders of Lebanon and Roger Dale Sanders of Crab Orchard.

    Great-grandmother is Norma Jean Taylor.

  • Campbellsville native earns commission in the U.S. Army

    Second Lt. Keisha Spaulding, a native of Campbellsville, earned a commission in the U.S. Army, graduating from Officer Candidate School on July 31.

    Spaulding is currently serving in the Adjutant General Corps of the Army. She initially joined the Army for the Student Loan Repayment Plan and to honor her country.

  • Class of 1973 gathers for reunion

    Campbellsville and Taylor County high schools' graduating classes of 1973 combined for a 35-year reunion on Nov. 15 at Rosewood Country Club in Lebanon.   • Porter-Anglin

    Candace Porter of Frankfort, formerly of Campbellsville, and Ashley Anglin of Frankfort will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 6.

    Porter is the daughter of Gary and Tammy Porter of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Heistand Parrish, Darell and Rebecca Cox and Opal Porter, all of Campbellsville, and the late Tommy Porter.

    She is a 2000 graduate of Taylor County High School and is co-owner of Lil T's Traffic Stop.
