  • Caldwell promoted to Lieutenant Colonel

    Major William Todd Caldwell, U.S. Air Force, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on Sept. 1.

    He is stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, Calif., where he serves as deputy program manager for the space surveillance satellite system.

    Caldwell is a 1989 graduate of Taylor County High School, a 1993 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and received a master's degree in astronautical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1998.

  • Minor-Keltner

    Emily Anne Minor and Derrick Allan Keltner, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Nov. 22.

    Minor is the daughter of Bobby and Diane Minor of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are James and Betty Tungate of Campbellsville and the late Spencer and Lorene Minor.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Taylor County High School and a 2007 graduate of The Hair Design School of Elizabethtown.

  • TCHS Class of 1958 hosts reunion

    Taylor County High School Class of 1958 recently hosted its 50-year reunion at Winters Dining Hall on Campbellsville University's campus. Those in attendance are from left, front: Bobby Roberts, Janet Caffee Kessler, Mary Lou Hedgespeth Corbin, Margarie Bault Colvin, Betty Sue Marcum Gilpin, Joyce Sprowles, Jetty Sue Tungate Noel, Nancy Sue Clark Bland, Mary Louise Hiestan Carter and Faye Colvin Kuegel.

  • Clark Kids Corner

    Ethan Chase Clark, 4, and Kayden Nicholas Clark, 2, are the sons of Jeremy and Denee Clark of Campbellsville. Their grandparents are Jimmy and Kathy Clark and David and Connie Jacobs, all of Campbellsville. Great-grandparents are Margaret Shively and Joe and Juanita Dudgeon, all of Campbellsville, Betty Sleets of Louisville, Bob and Brandy Buchanan of Tecumseh, Okla., and the late Loretta Jacobs.

  • Dabney donates to Locks of Love

    Paige Dabney recently donated 11 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, an organization that provides hair to children with medical hair loss. She is the daughter of Donnie and Susan Dabney of Campbellsville.

  • Burress

    Bobby and Dorothy Burress of the Speck Ridge community in Elk Horn will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 6.

    The Burresses were married on Nov. 6, 1958.

    They have one daughter, Sandra Davis; and two sons, Rodney Burress and Allen Burress. They also have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    Family members are hosting a reception in their honor on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Feathersburg Church of God.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. They request no gifts.

     

  • Zottman

    Thomas and Bobbie Lee Burchell Zottman of Lebanon will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 2.

    The Zottmans were married on Nov. 1, 1958.

    They have four children and 10 grandchildren, who will be hosting a reception in their honor from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lebanon.

    All family and friends are invited to attend.

  • Two couples graduate from prenatal class

    Two couples graduated from the prenatal and childbirth classes taught at Taylor Regional Hospital in October. The five-week series of classes is free to anyone delivering at TRH. The class is taught by Jenny Dobson, RN, MSN, CLC, CCE. For more information, call the Taylor Regional Hospital Women's Center at 465-3561 Ext. 2232.

  • Mejean Anniversary

    David and Suzanne Mejean of Campbellsville will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on Oct. 21.

    They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Mejean of Campbellsville and Anthony Mejean of Lexington. The Mejeans also have three grandchildren, Savannah, Emily and Matthew Mejean, all of Campbellsville.

     

  • Blair celebrates second birthday

    Mia Blair celebrated her second birthday on Sept. 21. She is the daughter of Shannon and Annie Blair of Campbellsville and has a big brother, Cristhian. Her grandparents are Donnie and Marcella Blair of Campbellsville and Bobby and Monica Morgeson of Lebanon.
