  • Woman's club hosts State Rep. candidates

    Campbellsville Woman's Club met Monday, Oct. 27 at the home of Chris Greenman.

    Candidates for 51st District State Representative John "Bam" Carney, Republican, and Billy Joe Fudge, Democrat, were the guest speakers. Each talked about the things that they would like to see accomplished if elected.

    Following the program, members discussed the upcoming annual Christmas Home Tour, which is set for Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m.

  • Pendleton Kids Corner

    Kaylie Marie and Kylie Ann Pendleton are the twin daughters of Shawn and Souanne Pendleton. Their grandparents are Rocky and Melody Tucker and Bill and Mary Pendleton. Great-grandparents are Roscoe and Gearldine Tucker, Gladys Bright and the late W.C. Bright.

  • Birth Announcements

    Andy and Brandy Close of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Hudsen Blevins, at 8:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

    Grandparents are Tim and Sandy Cash and Mike and Marcie Close, all of Campbellsville.

    Great-grandparents are Ruby Hines, Glenda and David Gupton, all of Campbellsville, Wanda and Clarence Perkins of Lebanon and Paul Cash Jr. of Mannsville.

  • Scouts take part in Cub Fun Day

    About 150 Cub Scouts from the Frontier District hosted a Cub Fun Day recently at the LaRue County Fairgrounds. The scouts, from six counties and 35 packs, earned their belt loops in archery, astronomy, map and compass, BB gun and soccer.

  • Parsons celebrates 90th birthday

    Pauline Parsons was honored with a 90th birthday celebration on Sunday, Oct. 5 at St. Mark United Methodist Church. The event was hosted by her three children, David Parsons, Sam Parson and Glenda Lawson.

  • Hash Kids Corner

    Brady Len Hash is the 7-month-old son of Troy and Susie Hash of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Harlan and Nell Hash and Merle and Aileen Benningfield, all of Campbellsville.

  • Our children are the reason we Relay

    Each year, the American Cancer Society hosts its Relay For Life fundraising event in cities across the nation to support the fight against cancer.

    Teams of supporters gather for this overnight event to raise funds and walk all night to show their commitment to finding a cure for cancer. If you talk to cancer survivors at Relay, most will tell you that they walk not only for themselves but for their children. Their hope is that their children will never be diagnosed with cancer.

  • Ferriell-Long

    Elizabeth Ann Ferriell and Gary Mitchell Long Jr. were married on Friday, June 20 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

    Fr. Bill Medley performed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of David and Laura Ferriell of Loretto. Her grandparents are Rose Hall and Dorothy Medley, both of Loretto, and the late Joseph Rollie Hall, Charles Raphael Ferriell and James Werner Medley.
