  • Sprowleses celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

     

    Coleman and Sue Sprowles of Campbellsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1.

    They were married Sept. 1, 1962, and have two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Rena Sprowles of Greensburg and Scott and Jennifer Sprowles of Campbellsville. They also have three grandchildren, Brianna Sprowles of Greensburg and Mackenzie Sprowles and Jeffrey Sprowles of Campbellsville.

    The Sprowleses will be honored with a reception on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Zion Separate Baptist Church. They request no gifts.

  • Birth Announcements for 9-13

    Ashlee Nicole Karr of Campbellsville announces the birth of a daughter, Addisyn Nicole Taylor, at 9:41 p.m. on July 24 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19.75 inches long.

    Grandparents are Lisa Karr and Jeff Karr of Campbellsville. Great-grandmother is Jean Karr of Campbellsville.

  • Cox, Scott to wed

     

    Amory Elizabeth Cox, formerly of Campbellsville, and Trevor Stanley Scott announce their engagement.

    Cox is the daughter of Dr. Ben and Regina Cox of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacy. She is employed by Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

    Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Scott of Owensboro.

  • Hall, Hovious to wed

     

    Jennifer Lee Hall and Brandon Alan Hovious of Casey Creek announce their engagement.

    Hall is the daughter of Eddie and Barbara Abell of Casey Creek. She is a senior at Brescia University.

    Hovious is the son of Phillip and Sharon Hovious of Elk Horn. He is employed at Serco in Campbellsville.

    The ceremony will be Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at Christie Chapel United Methodist Church.

  • Burgess celebrates 89th birthday

     

    Former Campbellsville resident Opal Cave Burgess celebrated her 89th birthday on Aug. 8. Her children hosted a weekend celebration.

    Burgess is married to Cliff Burgess and has six daughters, two sons, 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Burgess was born and raised in Campbellsville, but has lived in Michigan for nearly 60 years.

  • Hardin, Reynolds to wed

     

    Kristin Hardin and Josh Reynolds of Campbellsville announce their engagement.

    Hardin is the daughter of Frankie and Sharon Hardin of Campbellsville.

    She is a Campbellsville High School graduate and is employed by Taylor Regional Hospital Physicians for Women.

    Reynolds is the son of Steven and Patty Reynolds of Campbellsville.

    He is also a CHS graduate and is employed at Ancil Reynolds Used Cars.

  • DeWitt, Johnson to wed

     

    Josie Rose DeWitt and William Zachary Johnson of Greensburg announce their engagement.

    DeWitt is the daughter of James R. DeWitt of Campbellsville and the late Janie DeWitt. Her grandparents are Joy DeWitt and Thelma Hash of Campbellsville and the late James E. DeWitt and Hershal Hash.

    She is a 2003 graduate of Taylor County High School and is a pharmacy technician at Eastridge-Phelps Pharmacy.

  • Andersons to celebrate 25th anniversary

     

    Kenny and Brenda Anderson of Campbellsville will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday at Elk Horn Baptist Church's WAC building at 7 p.m.

    All family and friends are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

  • Kiwanis club president named international lieutenant governor

     

    The president of the Campbellsville Kiwanis Club has been elected lieutenant governor of the Kentucky-Tennessee District of Kiwanis International.

    Greg Gribbins was elected at the Kentucky-Tennessee Kiwanis District Convention on July 26-29 in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and will serve as lieutenant governor for Division 13 from this Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2013.

  • Birth Announcements for 8-30

    Amanda Wood of Campbellsville announces the birth of a son, Kason James Wood, at 4:22 p.m. on July 19 at Baptist Hospital East. He weighed 11 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19.75 inches long.

    Grandmother is Terri Gabehart of Mannsville. Great-grandmother is Christine Gabehart of Mannsville.

    Jessica Nicole and Michael Jeffrey Clark of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Zayden Michael Clark, at 7:03 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long.
