  • Byrd-Hughes

    Bethany Lauren Byrd of Rockwall, Texas and Dustin Wayne Hughes of Frankfort, Ky., will exchange wedding vows on Jan. 24.

    Byrd is the daughter of Ron and Amy Byrd of Rockwall. Her grandparents are Ginnie Hall of Danville and the late Bill Hall.

    She will graduate in December from Georgetown College and will be attending medical school.

    Hughes is the son of Danny and Rhonda Hughes of Frankfort. His grandparents are Wendell and Verla Hughes and Amy Harrison, all of Campbellsville, and the late Johnny Harrison.

  • Birth Announcements

    Christina Sanders of Lebanon and Joshua Taylor of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Cashus Jayevon Taylor, at 12:07 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 1/2 ounces and was 22 inches long.

    Grandparents are Peggy Ingram and Chick Taylor, both of Campbellsville, Diana Sanders of Lebanon and Roger Dale Sanders of Crab Orchard.

    Great-grandmother is Norma Jean Taylor.

  • Campbellsville native earns commission in the U.S. Army

    Second Lt. Keisha Spaulding, a native of Campbellsville, earned a commission in the U.S. Army, graduating from Officer Candidate School on July 31.

    Spaulding is currently serving in the Adjutant General Corps of the Army. She initially joined the Army for the Student Loan Repayment Plan and to honor her country.

  • Class of 1973 gathers for reunion

    Campbellsville and Taylor County high schools' graduating classes of 1973 combined for a 35-year reunion on Nov. 15 at Rosewood Country Club in Lebanon. Those attending were, from left, front: Cindy Forman Perkins, Sandra Mattingly, Gena Bohanon Conyers, Peggy Garner Hayes, Ricky Barnett, Thresa Durham Barnett and Debra Edwards Miller.

  • Porter-Anglin

    Candace Porter of Frankfort, formerly of Campbellsville, and Ashley Anglin of Frankfort will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 6.

    Porter is the daughter of Gary and Tammy Porter of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are Heistand Parrish, Darell and Rebecca Cox and Opal Porter, all of Campbellsville, and the late Tommy Porter.

    She is a 2000 graduate of Taylor County High School and is co-owner of Lil T's Traffic Stop.

  • Milby-Bloyd

    Brooke Milby and Adam Bloyd exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

    The bride is the daughter of Timmy and Susan Milby of Summersville and Jamie and Millie Pippin of Greensburg. Her grandparents are Linda Hodges of Gabe and the late Harry Lewis Hodges.

    The groom is the son of Eddie and Sharon Bloyd of Greensburg. His grandparents are Tutor and Aileen Benningfield of Campbellsville.

    A reception will take place at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Summersville Elementary School.

  • Dudgeon-Cook

    Kimberly Hope Dudgeon and Adrian Shawn Cook, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 6.

    Dudgeon is the daughter of Mike Dudgeon and Betsy Dudgeon, both of Campbellsville.

    Cook is the son of Jim and Anita Bowman of Hustonville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Campbellsville. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall.

  • Welcome to our home ... Come on in!

    If you're looking for decorating ideas this holiday season, or simply wish to spend a Sunday afternoon socializing, the Campbellsville Woman's Club's annual Christmas Home Tour is the place to be this Sunday.

    This year's tour will feature nine Taylor County homes. For $8, an individual can tour all nine homes. Tickets can be purchased at any of the participating homes.

    The money raised from this annual event goes to support civic projects of the Campbellsville Woman's Club, including two scholarships to local high school seniors each year.

  • Pruitt

    J.D. and Mary Catherine Pruitt of Greensburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently at the home of Roger and Cindy Caldwell.

    The Pruitts were married on Nov. 5, 1958, by the Rev. Clellan Ratliff.

    Their children, Alison and John Lee, as well as their grandchildren, Jay and Nicole, were among the guests.

    In addition to the Caldwells, hostesses included Sandra Jeffries and Alison Lee.

     

  • Lotter-Hare

    Lora Kay Lotter and James Ricky Hare will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 13.

    Lotter is the daughter of Derald and Marsa Cox of Speck Ridge.

    Hare is the son of J.R. and Helen Hare of Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church of God on Eastridge Cemetery Road. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall.

    All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
