  • Sexton-Nash

    Julie Renee Sexton and Joseph Elliott Nash will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 14.

    Sexton is the 21-year-old daughter of Bill and Tammy Sexton of Columbia.

    Nash is the 25-year-old son of Larry and Becky Nash of Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. ET at Columbia Christian Church. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship activity center.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. Invitations will only be sent to guests outside of Taylor, Green and Adair counties.

    Katlynn Elizabeth Metcalf, born April 15, is the daughter of Brad and Christie Metcalf of Bardstown. Her grandparents are Richard and Diane Bland of Campbellsville and Dan and Edna Metcalf of New Haven. Great-grandparents are Louise Bland of Lebanon, Frances Murphy of Campbellsville and Mary Ellen Metcalf of New Haven.

  • Birth Announcements

    Brian and Rebecca Wooley of Bowling Green announce the birth of a son, Blake Morris, at 2:11 a.m. on Friday, March 21 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 1/4 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long.

    Grandparents are Ronnie and JoAnn Morris of Campbellsville and Morris and Carol Wooley of Bowling Green.

    Great-grandparents are Joe and Clare Craig of Hendersonville, N.C., Martha Schwarzman of Atlantic City, N.J., Nellie Brewer of Campbellsville and the late Harold Brewer, Coy and Estelle Morris and Bill and Dorothy Wooley.

    Melanie Puryear and Timothy Wood, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 14.

    Puryear is the daughter of Richard and Doris Puryear of Campbellsville. Her grandmother is Margaret Shively of Campbellsville.

    She is a student at Campbellsville University and is employed at Game Stop.

    Wood is the son of George and Sharon Wood of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Barbie and Rosa Skaggs and Ethel Wood, all of Campbellsville.

    He is currently pursuing his master's degree and is an art teacher at Taylor County Middle School.

    Charles T. and Mina Hedgespeth of Campbellsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 1.

    The couple were married on June 1, 1958, at South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

    A reception will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Corinth Baptist Church, located on the Campbellsville/Hodgenville Road.

    All family and friends are invited to attend. They request no gifts.

    Kelly Simpson Spoon and Joseph Eric Mattingly will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 7.

    Spoon is the daughter of Kay and Richard Kazsuk of Russell Springs and Tommy and Charlotte Simpson of Knoxville, Tenn.

    She is a 1992 graduate of Taylor County High School and a 1998 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology with secondary education. Spoon completed her master of arts in special education at Campbellsville University in 2005. She is employed by the Taylor County Board of Education.

    Hannah Sue Wise of Elk Horn and Weston Drew Jones of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 7.

    Wise is the daughter of Tommy Bland of Campbellsville and Carla Milsap of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Wanda Carroll and the late Carson Carroll and Hurshel and Louise Bland.

    She is a 2008 graduate of Campbellsville University.

    Jones is the son of Mitchell Jones and Karen Jones, both of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Rufus and Doris Hansford of Campbellsville and the late Rex Jones and James and Maggie Bell.

    Russell is a 2002 graduate of Washington County High School and is a graduate of Campbellsville University. She is employed at Mercer County Elementary School in Harrodsburg.

    Gay is a 2000 graduate of Floyd Central High School and a graduate of Campbellsville University. He is employed at Anderson County Schools in Lawrenceburg.

    Burton is the daughter of Nancy Arnett of Campbellsville and Jerry and Stacy Arnett of Greensburg. Her grandparents are Frank and Dorothy Arnett of Campbellsville and the late Ida Mae Glover.

    She is a graduate of State Beauty College and is a stylist at Salon 121 in Campbellsville.
