  • Durham-Jones

    Kathy Durham of Campbellsville and Joey Jones of Greensburg will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 28.

    Durham is the daughter of James and Elizabeth Durham of Campbellsville. She is a 1999 graduate of Campbellsville High School and a 2006 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College. She is employed at Tri-Generations as a residential manager/coordinator.

    Jones is the son of Loy "Mann" Jones and Laney Jones of Greensburg. He is a 1997 graduate of Green County High School and a 2002 graduate of Elizabethtown Community College. He is employed as a safety coordinator at UPS.

  • Gannon undergoing therapy

    Neely Nichole Gannon, the 4-year-old daughter of David and Beth Gannon of Pensacola, Fla., is currently undergoing therapy at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Md., where she had hip and leg surgery for a birth defect on April 1.

    She will be there until late July. Her address is: Neely Gannon, Room 108, Hackerman-Patz House, 2434 W. Belvedere Ave., Baltimore, Md. 21215.

    Neely's grandparents are Nolan and Rita Underwood of Campbellsville and Jack and Helen Gannon of Hickman, Ky.

  • Warren celebrates birthday

    Ethan Jacob Warren celebrated his fourth birthday recently with family and friends. He is the son of Eric and Marsha Warren. His grandparents are John and Janet Deener and Greg and Sandra Warren. Great-grandparents are George and Pat Morris, Roy and Juanita Graham, Barbara Deener and Howard and Shirley Brewer.   • Wisdom-Ragsdale engagement

    Mr. and Mrs. Jackie "Jack" L. Wisdom of Campbellsville, formerly of Adair County, would like to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Lindsey Nicole Wisdom, to Adam Lucas Ragsdale, son of John Randolph Ragsdale all of Asheville, N.C.

    Wisdom is the granddaughter of the late James L. Wisdom and Geneva Wisdom of Campbellsville. Ragsdale is the grandson of the late Randolph H. Ragsdale and Helen Ragsdale of Conover, N.C.

    The ceremony will take place at the Miller Park Gazebo in Campbellsville at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.

    Tammy Arlene Nelson and David Matthew Perkins, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 28.

    Nelson is the daughter of Keith and Joyce Nelson of Campbellsville. She is a student at Campbellsville University and is employed at Family Dollar.

    Perkins is the son of Johnnie and Donna Perkins of Knifley. He is employed as a machinist at Madison and Smith.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Campbellsville. A reception will follow at the church.

    Jade Pickett and Tommy Allen, both of Campbellsville, will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 14.

    Pickett is the daughter of Robert Picket of Campbellsville and the late Fran Pickett. Her grandparents are the late Thomas and Elender Cox and Robert Pickett.

    She is a 2005 graduate of Taylor County High School.

    Allen is the son of Ken and Kay Dudley and Alton and Nancy Allen, all of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Loren and Sue Howe of Troy, Ind., and the late Walter and Brunetta Allen.

    He is a 2004 graduate of Campbellsville High School.

    Hale is the daughter of Linda and Michael Milby of Campbellsville and Steve and CJ Hale of Burkesville. Her grandparents are Clifton and Geraldine Hale of Campbellsville.

    Eller is the son of Bill Eller of Scottsville and Debbie and Darrell Walthall of Owensboro.

    Dr. Matthew and Melissa Marshbanks of Bowling Green announce the birth of a daughter, Addison Claire, at 5:57 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She weighed 7 pounds and was 21 inches long.

    Grandparents are Rhonda and Marvin Marshbanks of Stanford and Leon and Wanda Shepherd of Campbellsville.

    Chris and Valerie Brooker of Louisville announce the birth of a daughter, Emily Wilson Brooker, at 9:34 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

  • Abell celebrates second birthday

    Madison Angelina Abell celebrated her second birthday on May 13 in Glan-Munchweiler, Germany, where her father is stationed at Ramstein AFB. She is the daughter of Samantha and Edward Lee Abell Jr. Her grandparents are Edward and Barbara Abell of Casey Creek and Mike and Carolyn Graham of Waynesville, N.C. Great-grandparents are Alan and Irene Humphress of Campbellsville, Oscar and Gail Lott of Waynesville, Carolyn Graham of Memphis, Tenn., and the late James Graham and Clarence and Rowena Sween.

  • Shortage of volunteers hurting local girls

    In 2007, nearly a thousand girls in Kentuckiana missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime. They were denied the chance to develop the skills needed to discover their potential, to connect with their communities and to take action to solve the world's problems. These girls wanted to join Girl Scouts but could not because of a shortage of volunteers.

    Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana CEO Terry Blackwell wants every girl to have a home in Girl Scouting.
