  • Clements-Wood

    Robyn Anne Clements of Mannsville and Cory Robert Wood of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 6.

    Clements is the daughter of Robert Clements and Roland and Lisa Cox, all of Mannsville. Her grandparents are the late Bazil and Christine Clements and Stanley and Rosie Gribbins.

    Wood is the son of Bobby and Becky Wood of Campbellsville. His grandparents are Bobby and Commie Caulk, Ethel Wood and the late David Wood.

  • Old Time Rock and Rollers perform

    The Old Time Rock and Rollers recently performed at The Loretto Mother House. Dave Shuffett, pictured with the group of women who provide dancing entertainment, did not perform but joined the ladies for the photo.

  • Minor-McFarland

    Jack and Betty Minor of London announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Jaclyn Nicole Minor to Justin Paul McFarland, son of Gary and Judy McFarland of Louisville.

    Minor is the granddaughter of Fred Clem of London and the late Geneva Clem and Parker and Marguerite Minor. The Minors had lived in Campbellsville.

  • Skaggs wins BPW give-away

    Crissy Skaggs recently won a gift basket worth more than $200 from Campbellsville Business & Professional Women's Club.

  • Phillips to celebrate 80th birthday

    Carrie Mae Phillips will celebrate her 80th birthday on Sunday, May 24.

    Her children will be hosting a celebration in honor of their mother from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

    All relatives and friends are invited to attend. They request no gifts.

     

  • Post 82 elects auxiliary officers

    American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary hosted its annual elections on May 7 for a term that will run through May 2010.   • Viers-Blair

    Ciji Viers and Daniel Blair, both of Elk Horn, will exchange wedding vows on Friday, June 5.

    Viers is the daughter of Gary and Debra Viers of Elk Horn. Her grandparents are Mattie Bray, James and Mary Viers, David Malone and Charlotte Malone, all of Campbellsville.

    She is a 2009 graduate of Taylor County High School and will be attending Lindsey Wilson College in the fall.

    Viers is employed at Kroger.

    Blair is the son of Mary Tungate of Lexington and the late Harry "Dickie" Tungate.

  • American Legion Post 82 elects officers

    Edwards-O'Banion Post 82 American Legion hosted its yearly elections on May 7. The officers will serve through May 2010.   • Beasley-Bland

    Jim and Kathy Beasley of Rogersville, Tenn. announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Misty M. Beasley, to Timothy C. Bland, son of Timmy and Kellie Bland of Campbellsville.

    Beasley is the granddaughter of Gladys Ilene Lawson and the late Rev. Sturm Lawson and Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Beasley.

    She is a 1998 graduate of Cherokee High School and also has a license as a phlebotomy technician. She is employed as a consumer services representative at Holston Electric Cooperative.
