  • Good Hope to host Snow's Summer Choir

    Good Hope Baptist Church will host Snow's Summer Choir, directed by Kathy Hardy Snow, on Sunday, Aug. 2 during the 10:50 a.m. service.

    Forty-seven singers will present a tribute to Andre Crouch in today's gospel style. The performance will feature such songs as "My Tribute," "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power," "Soon and Very Soon" and "Through It All."

  • Faith in Campbellsville's daily life

    The Campbellsville Fourth of July Celebration was an example of the Christian faith being lived out in daily life. Churches and Christians were evident throughout the celebration.

    Living Grace Church sponsored the Family Fun Zone. Campbellsville Christian Church sponsored and hosted the free breakfast and was scheduled to present a patriotic musical before rain forced cancellation. Campbellsville Baptist Church sponsored and hosted the gospel singing on Sunday night. The entries for the amateur photo contest were on display at First United Methodist Church.

  • Precept Bible study class will begin Aug. 6

    "Kinsmen-Redeemer" is a study for those who have never taken a Precept class and for those who like to study inductively.

    A study of the Book of Ruth, Kinsmen-Redeemer tells about Jesus and his willingness to "pay the ultimate price."

    Precept Bible studies reach across denominational lines without compromising the truth of God's word.

    Classes will take place on Thursdays from Aug. 6 through Aug. 27 at Bethel First Presbyterian Church, located at 502 E. Main St. in Campbellsville, from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

  • Levelwoods homecoming is Sunday

    Levelwoods United Methodist Church will host its annual homecoming on Sunday, July 26 with a service beginning at 11 a.m. A potluck dinner on the grounds will follow, and special singing is planned for 1:30 p.m.

    Everyone is invited to attend.

  • Youth revival begins July 31 in Greensburg

    Greensburg United Methodist Church will host a youth revival beginning Friday, July 31 and continuing through Sunday, Aug. 2.

    Services will begin nightly at 7 ET. Steadfast will lead the worship each night, and special testimonies will be given.

    Brian Rafferty will be the speaker for Friday, July 31. Brandon Glanzer will preach on Saturday, Aug. 1 and Andre Barnes will speak on Sunday, Aug. 2.

    Refreshments will be served after the services each evening.

  • Campbellsville Christian announces events

    Campbellsville Christian Church has announced several upcoming events beginning this Sunday.

    Joanna Turpin will report on her recent mission trip to Ghana, West Africa at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

    Turpin is the daughter of Joey and Sheri Turpin and is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky.

    Jerry Kennedy will be the featured speaker on Sunday, July 26 at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Kennedy and his wife, Aleta, are missionaries in South Africa.

    Billy Gregory and his daughter, Hailey Gregory, will be in concert on Sunday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m.
