Pam Tebow, mother of University of Florida Gator quarterback Tim Tebow, told the story of her son buying Cocoa Krispies.

She recently spoke to a packed crowd at a local church about being a person of influence.

She said her son "Timmy" normally doesn't eat sweets, but this one time they were at the store together and he put a box of Cocoa Krispies in the shopping cart.

A little boy, a Tebow fan, saw the box of cereal and told his mom, "Tim Tebow eats Cocoa Krispies!" and he wanted some, too.

Good Hope Baptist Church will be led in an evening of music and praise by Garett Lowery and his parents on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Lowery is a senior at Campbellsville University and is a licensed minister who feels called into career missions. He is currently the pastor of student ministries at Bardstown Baptist Church.

Lowery says of his family, "We all descended from a long line of Baptists from Kentucky to Georgia and are ready to come worship God with you and have a great time together."

Today I did not go to the outlet store next to the grocery store. That may not mean much to you, but to me it was a major big deal.

Lately, I haven't been able to stop at the market without checking out the outlet. Even if I park far away I'll say, "I need to walk more," and head over to see what's new on the racks.

Once there I say, "I'll just look but not try on." Or "I'll try on but not buy," except I usually end up buying. Then I end up not really wanting what I buy. I'll put stuff in my closet where it sits until I give it away.

South Campbellsville Baptist Church will host its second annual fall festival on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the church yard.

Games, activities for the kids, balloon animals and bouncy houses are just a few of the things planned. There will also be free food, including hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, caramel apples and candy.
