    Samuel Randolph Sapp, 71, of Red Fern Road in Campbellsville, died on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, in Louisville, Ky.

    Emily Beth Skaggs and Ryan Chase Hatfield exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, June 14, at Mount Roberts Baptist Church in Campbellsville.

    Dot Caldwell, R.N., has been named the Taylor Regional Hospital ambassador for October 2003.

    Stoy and Hazel Warren will celebrate their 40th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 30.

    For the second consecutive year, former Taylor County High School and current University of Kentucky golfer John Holmes has won the Kentucky Golf Association's Player of the Year Award.

    Greg and Janet Cowherd of Campbellsville announce the birth of a daughter, Rachel Nicole, at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

    Upstream, a subsidiary of Rosenbluth International, has been sold to Indian conglomerate Godrej Group. However, company officials say Upstream will continue to operate its call center in Campbellsville.

    Thanksgiving is about being thankful - and giving. For the 11th year, Bethel First Presbyterian Church is hosting its traditional Thanksgiving dinner. More than 50 volunteers from all over the community will come together to help.

    Lee's Famous Recipe in Campbellsville completed two successful "Band Days" in support of high school marching bands at Campbellsville and Taylor County.

    James D. Richerson, a Campbellsville native, has been promoted from lieutenant to captain by the Kentucky State Police.

    Dennis S. Poore, a 1965 graduate of Campbellsville High School, has accepted a new position as a contract engineer for Mitre Corp.

    Rosalind Strong of Campbellsville, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, has attained the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation.

    Taylor County Future Farmers of America had its Greenhand Ceremony on Sept. 25.

    David Allen Newton recently purchased the Campbellsville Lee's from his brother, J. Paul Newton. Lee's Famous Recipe in Campbellsville has been owned by the Newton family since 1970.

    Bradford A. Lackey, an employee of Taylor County Board of Education, has been certified as a driver instructor by the National Association for Pupil Transportation.

    Maureen Russell Claycomb, 55, of Anna Court in Campbellsville, died on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at her home.

    Mike and Marcie Close of Campbellsville will celebrate their 25th anniversary on Monday.

    Chad and Shayla Vaughn of Campbellsville announce the birth of a son, Benjamin Allen, at 3:17 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Norton’s Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

    Amanda Holmes has been admitted to the professional program at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the Class of 2007.

    William Aidan Schuhmann celebrated his first birthday on Sept. 10 with a Clifford the Big Red Dog party.

    Fairview Baptist Church in Mannsville broke ground on Aug. 3 for an addition to add Sunday school space and fellowship area to its existing building.

    John and Barbara Netherland recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

    Shelby Bradley will turn 7 years old on Oct. 25. She is the daughter of Pam Bradley of Campbellsville and Melvin Bradley of Greensburg.

    Palestine Baptist Church celebrated 160 years of existence on Sunday, Sept. 14, when nearly 220 members, former members and friends helped celebrate with a homecoming.

    The Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association has named Scott Shaw of Campbellsville the state's EMT of the year.

    Alberta Rice celebrated her 90th birthday with her children and grandchildren on Sept. 6 at the Community Center.

    Erica Shenell Hovious and Mark Monroe DeWeese were married on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Green River Lake State Park.
