Emily Redman, who lives in St. Petersburg, Fla., was "home" this past weekend for the 12th Durham High Reunion festivities.

Noble and Frances Roberts of Shelbyville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise along the Danube and Rhine rivers from Vienna, Austria to Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Ashley Magers was honored with a bridal shower on July 29 in the Fireside Room of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

August 23, 2001

William Wesley "Bill" Webster Jr., 77, of Webster Road in Campbellsville died Thursday, Aug. 16 at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville after an illness.

"Celebrating Tomorrow's Church Today" is the theme for Saloma Baptist Church's homecoming and 50th anniversary celebration scheduled for Sunday.

If the weatherman cooperates, it should be a very good season opener for dove hunters throughout Kentucky.

Martha Schuhmann, 79, of Ferrell Lane in Campbellsville died Monday, July 30 at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville.

Lindsay Rae Chandler, a junior at Campbellsville High School, has been chosen as a 2001 participant in the Center for Rural Development's Rogers Scholars Program.

Marine Corps Reserve Pfc. Jonathan R. Walker recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S.C.

Even though it was Friday the 13th, it was a lucky evening for local racer Jason Keltner as he captured his first Zip Express Thunder Truck division feature race of the 2K1 campaign at Louisville Speedway.

Allie Shae Hash, 10, of Campbellsville won first place in the K-Country Showdown on July 3.

Terry Dabney was the winner of a picture, "The Old Dunnville Mill," given away July 4 by the Taylor County Republican Women's Club.
