    Gordon Clark, 81, of Clark Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, June 4, 2006 in Campbellsville.

    Harold McDonald retired from the United States Postal Service on June 2 as a Campbellsville letter carrier.

    Residents of the current Metzmeier Nursing Home will soon have a new place to call home. Construction has begun on a new nursing and rehabilitation facility on the Water Tower Bypass.

    Darrell and Nancy Burress Hunt will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

    Taylor County Judge/Executive and Mrs. Paul W. Patton will celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary June 19.

    The Rev. Charles and Anne Harris recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married on May 17, 1941.

    H.R. Richardson, a retired educator in the Campbellsville Independent School system and at Campbellsville University, was awarded an honorary doctorate of public service May 27 in a service on CU's campus with family and friends present.

    William Roy Wethington, 92, of Old Columbia Road in Campbellsville, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville after an illness.

    Logan Smith signed to play baseball for Western Kentucky University on Tuesday.

    Air National Guard Airman Nathan A. Noel has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

    Kentucky Christian School recently collected 548 pounds of food for the local food pantry.

    The Campbellsville University Horn Quartet was recently named runner-up in the 2006 Midwest Horn Quartet competition.
