    H.R. Richardson, a retired educator in the Campbellsville Independent School system and at Campbellsville University, was awarded an honorary doctorate of public service May 27 in a service on CU's campus with family and friends present.

    Troy and Cheryl Vaughn of Campbellsville announce the birth of a daughter, Avery Lynn, at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

    William Roy Wethington, 92, of Old Columbia Road in Campbellsville, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville after an illness.

    Logan Smith signed to play baseball for Western Kentucky University on Tuesday.

    Air National Guard Airman Nathan A. Noel has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
