  • Oak Ridge Boys to perform Christmas concert at CU

    Campbellsville University will rock once again with The Oak Ridge Boys as they perform a "Christmas Night Out" concert on Monday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel.

  • Santa to visit Campbellsville

    Santa Claus will visit Campbellsville twice in the coming weeks.

    On Saturday, Nov. 15, Santa will come to Chandler's Office Supply from noon to 2 p.m. during the downtown Christmas Open House events.

    Santa will also appear downtown Saturday, Dec. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. before the community Christmas parade. Children and pets can get their pictures taken with Santa Claus. No appointments are necessary.

  • Veterans Day service is Tuesday, Nov. 11

    Taylor County's community Veterans Day service will be Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at the War Memorial by Taylor County Courthouse.

    Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young and Taylor County Judge/Executive Eddie Rogers will speak.

    Patsy Waters will sing.

    Campbellsville Fire & Rescue, American Legion Post 82 and Kentucky National Guard personnel will also attend the ceremony.

  • CU television guests discuss politics

     

    Campbellsville University will air a television show featuring officials discussing this and next year's elections.

  • Junior conservation members to host recycling event

    Taylor County Conservation District Junior Board members will host a recycling event at Miller Park on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to noon.

    The board members are partnering with Taylor County Homemakers, Taylor County Fiscal Court and the city of Campbellsville in an effort to increase awareness about the importance of recycling and its impact on the community.

    When residents bring recyclable materials to the event, they will receive a free container to collect their recyclable materials at home.

  • CU to host music conference

    Campbellsville University and the School of Music will host the annual competitions and Kentucky Music Teachers Association conference on Nov. 1-4.

    Dr. Wesley Roberts, professor of music, is the host of the conference.

  • CU's politics and journalism class takes on Senate election

    Campbellsville University's politics and journalism class is getting involved with this year's United States Senate race through social media and with their peers.

  • CU to host art exhibit

    Campbellsville University’s Department of Art will host “unrequited,” a solo exhibition by Azucena Trejo Williams through Nov. 14 at the Pence-Chowning Art Gallery on campus.

    A reception will be Monday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with an artist talk at 5:30 p.m. at the Susan Kirkland Tesseneer Art Studio on campus. The events are free and the public is invited.

  • CU to host election forum

    Campbellsville University's Kentucky Heartland Institute for Public Policy will present a forum on "Elections 2014 and 2015" on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. in the Badgett Academic Support Center banquet hall on campus.

  • GRL to host haunted corn maze

    Green River Lake State Park will be haunted for three upcoming weekends.

    The park and The Friends of Green River Lake are sponsoring a corn maze at the entrance to the park through the end of the month. But on Oct. 11, 18 and 25, the maze will be haunted.

    On Saturday, Oct. 11, Green County FFA members will be haunting the maze. On Oct. 18, Taylor County FFA members will be there and Adair County FFA members will do the haunting on Saturday, Oct. 25.

    There will be a haunting from 7 to 8 p.m. for small children.
