The Frankfort YMCA is hosting its second annual YMCA Christmas Ball on Friday, Dec. 7.

The Christmas Ball is an event designated for Special Olympic athletes and individuals with special needs in the Central Kentucky area.

"Last year met and exceeded all expectations," said Brent Wallace, family services/marketing director of the Frankfort YMCA.

The Ball drew more than 200 individuals throughout Kentucky. The event brought out much excitement and warmed the hearts of everyone who attended.

The event has live musical entertainment provided by local band Toe Jam, who will be playing a great variety of dance songs, slow and fast, from the classics to the present.

Everyone who attends will also have the opportunity to receive a complimentary 5x7 photo as a generous contribution from Dewitt Photography. Additional photos are also available for order.

The event will take place at the Frankfort Convention Center in downtown Frankfort. The Christmas Ball will last from 7 to 10 p.m.

Everyone who attends is encouraged to dress in their favorite holiday attire, whether it be a festive holiday outfit or something more formal.

Registration may be done online at www.frankfortymca.org or you may complete a registration form, which you may mail to the Downtown Frankfort YMCA or turn in at the event.

Registration forms may be downloaded from the YMCA Web site at www.frankfortymca.org or picked up from any Frankfort YMCA location. For more information, contact Brent Wallace at the Frankfort YMCA at (502) 227-9637 Ext.104 or e-mail brent@frankfortymca.org.
