A Glasgow woman has been sentenced to a year and a day in jail for embezzling more than $200,000 from a local company.
Michelle Simmons, 34, pleaded guilty to wire fraud, according to a March news release from Acting U.S. Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky.
In a news release last week, Hill stated that U.S. District Judge Joseph H. McKinley Jr. sentenced Simmons on Tuesday in United States District Court.
Her prison sentence will be followed by three years' supervised release. She will also be ordered to pay $217,549 in restitution.
