A Campbellsville woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly fled from police.

According to a Campbellsville Police report, officers made a traffic stop to begin investigating the theft of a registration plate on Monday.

Officer Ryan Jewell made the stop at 3:40 p.m. for failure to wear seat belts.

The release states that the passenger in the vehicle exited it and then fled on foot. The driver also left the scene.

The vehicle was later located at a residence on McNary Street, the release states.

After further investigation, Jewell determined through a computer registration search that the vehicle had a stolen registration plate.

Jewell arrested Rachael Hoagland, 34, of 75 Mallory Lane, for theft of a motor vehicle registration plate, first-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to wear seat belts, no registration plates, no registration receipt and failure to maintain required insurance.

Hoagland was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
