A Campbellsville woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle.
According to a Campbellsville Police report, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Birdwood Avenue last Wednesday at about 10:30 p.m.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that a silver Hyundai Sante Fe involved in the crash was reported as a vehicle stolen out of California. Layna Ray Starr Dupont of 308 Taylor Blvd. in Campbellsville was driving the vehicle.
Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS transported Dupont to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She was treated and released.
Dupont was later arrested and charged with DUI, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, giving officer false name or address, receiving more than $10,000 in stolen property, first-degree wanton endangerment and having no operator's license. She was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The report contains no information about the other vehicle involved.
Taylor County Sheriff's deputies assisted at the scene.
