Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency's HOME Program will have a "Within My Reach" workshop at the Campbellsville Housing Authority Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The HOME program provides free relationship education to low-income individuals and couples.
The "Within My Reach" curriculum covers topics such as domestic violence, communication skills and techniques, what a healthy relationship is and isn't, how adult and parental relationships affect children, knowing yourself and the need for self-esteem, the importance of social support and financial independence, negative consequences of sliding into relationship decisions, where conflict begins, infidelity and forgiveness, commitment and why it matters to adults and children, stepfamilies, the significance of fathers, making tough decisions, reaching goals for the future and much more.
This service is provided by a federal healthy marriage grant and is only for those who are 150 percent below the federal poverty guidelines and have a child younger than 5 years old. There will be free childcare and free food at each meeting. There will also be gas and Wal-Mart gift cards given out at each meeting.
