WIC (the Special Supplemental Nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children) is a national program that helps low-income families meet nutritional needs.
WIC provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education at no cost to low-income pregnant woman and new mothers, infants and children up to five years of age who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Proper nutrition along with appropriate health services helps maintain health and promotes normal growth and development.
