Santa Claus is coming to town!
Santa will be at the News-Journal office in Campbellsville on Wednesday to meet the children who participated in this year's coloring contest and Letters to Santa contest.
After learning about all of this year's entries, Santa said he wanted to reward the children for all their creative work. So he will attend a reception at the newspaper office on Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m.
Santa said he's looking forward to seeing all the entries that the CKNJ staff has collected during the contests.
Santa said he will also present the winners of the contests with their prizes during the reception. All winners have been notified to make sure they are able to attend, though all children who participated are invited.
In the coloring contest, one grand prize winner will receive $50 in cash. There will also be five $10 cash prizes given away to honorable mention color winners.
Prizes in the Letters to Santa contest include a $15 prize for the best letters written by a boy and a girl. Second-place prizes are $10 for each and third-place prizes are $5 each.
Artists and writers who entered either contest may stop by the News-Journal at any time during the reception to view their work and have cookies and milk with Santa Claus.
