Two injured in KY 70 crash

Two Taylor County residents were injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash on KY 70.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Jonathan B. Auker, 33, of Stoner Creek in Elk Horn was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix at 5:45 p.m. and was attempting to cross KY 70 from Stoner Creek Road to Wooleyville Road.

The report states that Auker failed to see a 2003 Ford Focus driven by Aquelia B. Caven, 26, of Mannsville, and pulled into its path.

Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS personnel transported Auker and Caven to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment. Caven was treated and released. At press time, no information was available as to Auker's condition.

Taylor County Fire & Rescue also responded.
