Two Campbellsville residents have been arrested and charged with selling marijuana.
According to a Campbellsville Police news release, officers were called last Tuesday to a report of a domestic disturbance on Bowman Street.
Upon arrival, officers entered the home and found marijuana in plastic bags and $153 in cash.
Corie W. Barnett, 36, and Ashley N. Barnett, 24, both of 419 Bowman St., were arrested and charged with selling less than 5 pounds of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of drug supplies.
According to court records, Ashley Barnett said she and her husband were arguing about money. Records state that she told officers that a friend brought the marijuana to her home.
Officers wrote in court records that the Barnetts appeared very intoxicated and had a 3-year-old child at the home, who was unattended.
The Barnetts were lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
They pleaded not guilty to the charges against them in Taylor District Court last Wednesday.
Bond for Ashley Barnett was set at $1,000 unsecured. She was ordered to be monitored and not consume any drugs or alcohol or leave the child unattended.
Bond for Corie Barnett was set at 10 percent of $5,000. He was ordered to not consume any drugs or alcohol.
The Barnetts were appointed public defenders and are scheduled to appear in court again tomorrow for a preliminary hearing.
