Two Greensburg residents have been arrested and charged after they allegedly broke into a Taylor County home and assaulted someone inside.
According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, deputies received a complaint on Thursday of two people forcing their way into a Bass Ridge Road home at about 11:30 p.m.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found a man had been assaulted during the incident. He was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of head injuries.
Witnesses identified Harley L. Fisher, 19, and Amber K. Walls, 21, as the two who broke into the home. The two were found by Greensburg Police officers and arrested.
Fisher and Walls were charged with first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. They were lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
The report states that the investigation into the burglary is ongoing and other charges are possible.
