The Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Department has three fundraisers planned to collect money and toys for its "Toys for Kids" program.

The first event, the annual "Toys for Kids" chili cook-off, was Nov. 17.

The second event, the 11th annual "Toys for Kids" dance, will be Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the American Legion. Admission is $5.

The last event, the "Toys for Kids" celebrity auction, is planned for Thursday, Dec. 6 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Big Dawg radio station will conduct an on-air auction all day selling numerous items donated by country music artists, University of Kentucky athletics, University of Louisville athletics, NASCAR and other sports teams.

Volunteers are needed to help with these fundraisers. The radio station can always use more volunteers to answer the phones and take bids during the celebrity auction. And volunteers are needed to help organize, wrap and deliver presents at the Fire Department. Gifts will be delivered to the children on Christmas Eve.
