Winners of their last four, and 18 of their last 19, the No. 8-rated Campbellsville University baseball team run-ruled Union (Tenn.) University 21-1 at home on Tuesday.

Sophomore Alex Tolmachoff scattered five hits in a complete-game effort, needing only 68 pitches to notch his fourth win. The Peoria, Ariz. native tied Ian Pick with the best record on the team, moving to 4-0.

Offensively, the Tigers did most of their damage in the fourth inning as they put up eight runs as they sent 12 batters to the plate.

Zachary Townsend had two hits in the inning, including a lead-off triple into the right-center gap.

Designated hitter Logan Smith put the icing on the cake as he launched his second home run of the year in that inning over the right-field wall. Smith, a 2006 Campbellsville High School graduate, went 4-4 with six runs batted in.

Brian Chase also had a big day as he went 3-4 and had two RBI.

Coach Beauford Sanders' club was 22-3 overall and 9-0 in Mid-South Conference play before a weekend series at Lindsey Wilson College.
