Campbellsville University led 41-31 early in the second half, but could not overcome an 18-2 Pikeville run and fell to the visiting Bears 77-69 on Thursday night.

The Tigers (7-16) used 14 points from senior Zach Allender to build a 37-31 half-time cushion and led 41-31 after Troy Harris' three and Hristo Petkov's free throw at 17:56.

However, the Bears reeled off 11 straight points and 18 of the next 20 and Campbellsville could manage only two ties the rest of the way.

Petkov (15), Allender (14 plus 18 rebounds), Harris (11) and Shawn Savage (10) reached double figures for the Tigers, who lost their eighth straight Mid-South Conference game this season.

CU hosted OSU-Mansfield and will play at Lindsey Wilson on Thursday and entertain St. Catharine on Saturday.
